Game description
A detective game where you work with gathered and deducted clues to find the one whodunnit

Theme interpretation
I made a detective game, with a case to solve. No matter how small and simple the available solution is it is still a mystery.

The story telling is great but as you said, it’s a concept. Well done.

The concept is quite cool and it shows that you spent quite some time developing the story. The graphics and audio needs some work of course, but if you were to refine them, I'm sure it could make a nice game!

game hangs for me after the intro text (message from the boss), and then nothing happens and the buttons stop working. No errors on the console. Sounds was too loud, had to mute the tab

Developer

Sound was literally added at last minute since no sound was worse. Sorry about that awful quality.

I don't know why buttons would stop working. Clues and merger buttons are disabled for monologues and are enabled back when monologue ends. The dial button never gets disabled, only changes its state and, thus, behaviour, thus theoretically it may softlock itself. Anyway if restarting doesn't help I dunno what the issue is and how to fix it.

Tried again in different browser (chrome) and it worked - maybe a problem with firefox?

I like the idea of the game but the UI gets in the way - too much clicking, and repeating. Obviously woudl be good to have some graphics, but it would be really nice if in each conversation it showed visually which things you'd already asked that person about, and showed which clues you'd attempted to merge already. I had to repeat each many times because I just didn't know, and it wasn't obvious which things would lead to success.

Hey, playing your game I got some deja-vu of making my own. We have a detective game with a very similar UI. I focused more on UI and randomizing the case and I couldn’t develop the story a lot. Maybe we should collaborate on merging them? I hope at least you take a look :)
