Cute art and the dash (attack) feels great to use! I found the audio and the gameplay a bit jarring though, like the sudden transitions, being able to walk up sometimes, being able to jump out of the game world, and still hearing footsteps when jumping. But nice work!

Thank you for the feedback and playing!! Glad to hear you liked the art and dash. There's definitely a lot of immersion breaking bugs that need addressing. Unfortunately, we struggled a lot with integrating wwise into gamemaker so the final audio result isn't what we had envisioned. But we do plan to fix a lot of these issues and re-do the audio using fmod so hopefully the game ends up in a more enjoyable state.

I like the design of the cat, there's an quirky side between the cartoon aspect of the characters and the spooky side, it's interesting, there's good potential there! We'd love to know more about what brings us to face zombie dogs in a dilapidated house!  The dash + plank attack is pretty hard-hitting and fun, and a real highlight.
I was also confronted with the bugs that have been pointed out in other comments.
Well done team !

Glad to hear you liked the spooky/cartoony aesthetic. And totally agree, we ran out of time for any of the lore building and environmental story details we were thinking about, but we may decide to finish the game at some point. There are many, many bug fixes and polishing to do but it's cool to hear you enjoyed it. Thank you for playing and the feedback!

Beware of the cursed attic!! In that area the game becomes very buggy, with game borders you can break, a corner where you get stuck and a black cube with no apparent purpose.
Couldn't continue the game after gaining the double jump but I was enjoying it so far: the player movement is spot on.
REALLY loved the art, really awesome stuff but the walking animation is slightly off compared to the actual movement speed (a "jogging animation" would have been better i think) and the game needs a jumping animation too.
Please keep working on it, I'd love to see more!!!

sorry to hear about the attic lol, its definitely lacking a lot of polish. glad to hear you enjoyed the movement and art. Agreed about the art, its such a unique style our artist did an excellent job!! Noted on the animations, thank you for the feedback. And we're talking about continuing with the games development so glad to hear there may be some interest :)

I love the art, and the combat animation. I feel player jumping could be more snappy, and there should be some clarity on what the player needs to do. I wandered around for a while and killed some enemies, and that was fun :) but after a while I didn't know where to go next or why. But generally a decent entry with nice graphics

Thank you for playing and your feedback! I'm glad you liked the visual style, our artist killed it. Agreed about the movement feeling off, it needed a lot more polishing up. And environmental clues would have been helpful, we'll keep that in mind for any future development. Not sure if you tried this already but you can jump up to the second floor of the mansion at the staircase and explore from there if you want. Thanks again :)
