Fun game. Controls could be a little more tighter and precise. Sadly, there's no audio. Still, good job on creating such a game in a short amount of time.

Fun game! Keep it up!

Very fun and pretty! I got a bit annoyed when I got to the last one and only got 5, because I didn't take the one on the top at the begining. Deffinitely add sound effects and music :)

Cool game! I like the simple pixelated graphics! The controls are fun and it's fun to collect the batteries. I couldn't get the secret code because there was one corner I could never make it around. I think it'd be great with some more audio and a wall-slide animation. I enjoyed the "battery" mechanic and it kept an intense fast pace!

Great job! The art was nice and the controls were straight forawrd. The movement was a little finiky but it was fine after I got used to it.

Nice game, I really enjoyed getting that (G4M3R) code it was really har that last part I would suggest to add music and polish the movement mechanics so it feels better to move around.

Psst. . . G4M3R!

Submitted(+1)

Secret code is G4M3R! Nice game though. Would of loved it if there was music as I played through it! Also, the gravity was kind of heavy as my character fell down extremely fast!

Thanks so much, it was my first game jam and first time using godot so there was a lot I didn't get time to add in. Thanks for the feedback! :D

I struggled to beat this but perservered and emerged victorious, so I guess I'm a real G4M3R ;) !

Cute art and having the number of batteries to collect was good to know how far off I was from reaching my goal with each reboot. With the number of times i had to repeat, I would've loved for spacebar to reboot (having to move my hand to the mouse to click the button was a tad tedious when I just wanted to jump back into it).

Fantastic game for a first game jam entry!

I really like the art style and I think its a good take on the theme too. I tried to finish the level but I couldnt :( -  I would recommend making the first level much easier - like just a simple platform with 2 spikes that allows the player to get familiar with the controls and movement and the objective of the game and then progress with difficulty from there. But overall - I like it!

Movement felt quite good and the pixel art style is also cool!

Thanks chip :)

not sure if it was supposed to have audio, so same as my game there if it doesn't... oops fun little platformer and I like the visuals; Simple but cohesive and effective. The Reboot screen was for some reason smaller than the full window, no big deal though. Great work!

Developer

Thanks AmpMunkey! This was my first game jam so lots to improve on :) I tried playing your game earlier but there is no linux build. If you add a linux build let me know so I can check it out :)

PS: Dont worry your speakers aren't broken. My game just has no audio haha

Submitted(+1)

I will see if I can add a Linux build 馃憤

I enjoyed playing this game and it took me a good few tries to complete. Adding some music or SFX would really add to the gameplay. G4M3R! :p

Developer

Haha congrats on beating it  ^^ Yeah I agree music really does make a big difference. Thanks for the feedback :)

Nice platformer. Good concept. Some issues I had in WebGL version: start screen in 1/4 size, sometimes I fall at high speed.

Developer

Yeah the control weren't great. Definitely something I need to improve on :) Thanks for the feedback :D

Nice simple platformer!  Control may more polish (stick to wall). Art is pretty!

Good work!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback ^^

Really enjoyed playing this! Noticed there seemed to be some green artifact lines appearing but nothing game breaking. Jumping is a little clucky, but so is ours, it is not easy to get right! I did keep replaying for longer than intended :)

Developer

Thanks for for the feedback steelax appreciate it :) player movement is definitely something I need to improve on.

I really like the pixel art for the game. However the platforming did not feel good, as the jump was way too floaty, and the fall was way to fast. I simply couldn't get the player to be where i wanted it. The jumping also felt somewhat unresponsive. I thin it would be a good idea for you to go and researched jumping in 2d platformers so you can get it better next time :3 Also the lack of sounds and music made it feel kind of souless

Thanks for the feedback Llama I really appreciate it :)
