Nice work
Art is amazing.
Do rate my game as well.

This is the good start for a game.  You can clearly build on this. The character art is great, and I LOVE the song.  The combat is a bit off.  When you with between block and attack you can’t see the attack animation.  The mini map feature is cool. I do wish the camera was confined to the play area so you wouldn’t see the black edges where the level ends.  This is an ambitious game, and I really love the art.   You should definitely continue to develop this one.

Although I feel that the combat system can be improved, I also think that you did a really good job in just 1 month! Both the music and visuals complement the gameplay. Maybe adding more sounds in the future can help to make the game even better and come alive more. A better visual feedback for getting the damage maybe? But overall, great game!

Great job on the visual design and the music! I got a little frustrated by the combat system, but the music felt so nice that it made me want to continue playing :)
The "outside"-music somehow reminded me of Age  of Empires, no idea why :D

This game was so good, if you made the art work yourself I have to say that you've done an amazing work! Also loved the time working as currency, such a good mechanic love this!

I found a bug on the shop, you can't click on the potion/weapon buttons, it is bit to the left for some reason, could manage to get the potions when clicking from there

Hi Jonnboy91!

Thanks for you feedback! I didn't do the art myself. I was developing this game with 6 others + me.  3 Artists (which where I was part of), 3 Programmers and one level designer.

By the way, did you play the game in Full Screen? The game was supposed to run in a .exe version which runs on an aspect ratio of 1920x1080.  We just made a webGL version so that people can play it easier, rather than downloading the files.

Anyways, thanks for playing the game!

DIE SLIME DIE!!! The ambiance and the visuals were amazing, the map too, so much to implement in just a month! Did you make the visuals yourself? :O I have one criticism: THE SLIME KEEP KILLING ME :(

Hi Irene!

Nah, I was doing this project with 7 of us on this game. 3 artists, including me.  3 programmers (that handles unity) and one level designer.  Anyways, we ARE sooo glad that you are 'having fun' with the game. We tried making a top-down game that isn't pixel and it was SO hard lol.

There are lots of methods to clear the slime stage. You can 'kite' them using broadsword and venture the whole area as you kill the slimes. If you have the time playing this game again, good luck on that try!

Hope to see you again on the next jams here!

The character design is great! Potion button in the shop doesn't work.  It is a little bit annoying that you only can deal damage to enemies to your left and right. I like the idea and the art!

Hi Arseny!

Thanks for your comment! By the way, did you try playing it in full screen? The game was supposed to be played in full screen to prevent such bugs. Anyways, we've noted the bug that you've  experienced.

Thanks!

Hi, I can't access the potion tab of the shop. I'm clicking on the tab but I only see the swords. Am I doing something wrong?

Developer

Hi Jonathan!

Did you play the game other than in Full Screen? The game is supposed to run in .exe (Which has a 1920x1080 aspect ratio), that's why some potions/weapons cannot be bought.

Thanks!

I tried in both boxed and full screen.

Tried the game, it's a simple RPG. When you die, you get respawn back at level 1, which is okay but once you advance to higher levels, it gets pretty annoying to do the quest again. I was in level 2 and when I died, I respawned back at level, having to do the quest again I wish you just reset the current level to try that quest again, instead of making you go back to square one.

Criticisms aside, the visuals a were good, and the music was just amazing. It really sets the mood right. Overall, a pretty good game for a game jam.

Hi Sreengton!

Thanks for your feedback. On stage 2, you only have to do what the wizard was 'asking' for. With that in mind, it will be 'easy' to play that stage.  There's also a 'tip' on the loading screen that says listen very well to the wizard but I think the loading screen was also just too fast for the players to read.

This was the game's first prototype so we have a lot of room to revamp some things.

Thanks a lot for you honest comment!

Yeah, I realised that and just made a run for it but the monsters ended up killing me cause I used up  my health pots from stage 1.

An interesting concept with a fitting story, I would definitely play it!

Hi Anmeiru!

Awesome! The game's still in prototype as we were checking if the concept of the game was fun.

Anyways, thanks a lot, Anmeiru!
