Thank you!!!! Yeah, overall we are really happy about this jam, this was our first pseudo-finished game and we did it in our spare time.
I think that not having a webgl version hurt us a little in the end but all the feedbacks from the voters were amazing and a little unexpected :-)
Thank you again for the appreciation!!
Oh man, so that's what the score vs raw score stuff is - I did wonder. Yeah that's not nice, this was a fun entry and deserved to be a lot higher in the rankings.
Bit surprised in general to see so many of the games I enjoyed getting low ratings. Also it would have been nice if the wider GDTV team had got involved to showcase some of the less-reviewed games.
Yeh if you look at the ranking and the "raw scores" vs "scores", anyone with less than 30 ratings got nerfed and the further you were from having 30 ratings the more you got nerfed.
Huh that's weird. You'd think it would work the opposite way. More ratings from the median the more you get nerfed. Not the less ratings, the more you get nerfed.
Hey, pretty good! My potato can't handle much 3D at the moment but I dropped down to 720p and cleared it without taking a hit :p The hunt for the exit was a bit slow, might be nice to give a sprint mode for that last bit maybe :)
Thank you! Yeah, we should add some kind of graphics options, same for sprinting, we'll see :-)
Lots of fun. Really enjoyed it. Great job.
Thank you so much! Glad you liked it!
I had fun playing it, I liked the mood and how it all came together. I had issues with the UI scaling (my aspect ratio is 21:9) but that is sort of normal for most games :) Well done submitting a working game with a proper gameloop and not to forget it is fun to play :D
Awesome!! Thanks!! About the UI, yeah you're right, we know, a friend of mine already told me, thanks the same for the feedback :-)
Yeah, we did the menus a few hours before submitting!!
Thanks!!
Clicked on the 'I don't think so....' button in the main menu, just to see if there's a surprise. 😅 The 'Are you sure you wanna play?' was hilarious.
Restarted the game only to be amazed by the in-game. Extremely smooth. Pretty fine sfx and visuals. Funny music and zombie animations. A pretty big world as well. Felt a bit impatient after playing for a while, wanting to be able to jump and sprint. Would be really cool if you can add that functionality in there.
Also, loved the 'You are sooo dead' screen. I'd say a pretty good job with the humor in there. It really set the overall vibe. Amazing gameplay. Had a ton of fun playing it. Would want to play it more.
F%@£!!! You're right, we should have added something funny!! Thank you for your appreciation!!
Yeah, the game miss some feature, 50% by necessity (lack of time) and 50% by choice (at the moment it would be too easy to play).
In theory the humour should be a more prominent aspect of the game (like we intended from the start), we hope to fully implement it in the future.
Thanks for the kind words!!
Nice game, ran well and with some polish and more mechanics this could be a pretty cool game. I played it tonight on my livestream and you can check out the replay here if you would like
Thanks! We appreciate it!!
Wow, thank you so much!! By the way, you were lucky to find the right chest at the first try!
Yeah in the future we'll add more content :-)
Thanks again!!
Plays smoothly on my Linux box and has a cohesive gameplay. Too bad FPS aren't my kind of game and I'm not good enough to survive the scenario...
Nice, thank you!! I hear you, I'm really bad at strategics and beat-em-ups..
Having said that, I'm happy because yours is the first feedback about playing on GNU/Linux as that's my main OS (one of the reasons I choose to learn game development with Unity). It's was a little tricky for the wwise integration but in the end it worked ok.
Yeah, it can be a little difficult if FPS are not your kind of game, maybe in the future we'll add an option to select the difficulty.
Wwise was the reason I couldn't get one of the other contributions to build on my system to get a Linux version... Audiokinetic claim one can download the Unity integration for free and even without having an account but sadly they buried it into their "Launcher" (or what their equivalent of Unity-Hub was called) and when I tried to get that I only could get a "login or register" page. (And it's not even as if I wanted to get some editor package, only what is needed to build a project that contains assets generated with Wwise...)
If it was just to add the integration it would be awesome, but unfortunately there's more.
In the end we did the integration on a windows pc and then we build it for all platforms but after that I could no longer compile it on my linux box.
In the future for simple project like this we'll try to use fmod (editor is available for linux)
I killed everyone, found chocolate, escaped town in big style!
Shooting is very pleasant. Graphics is also great. So there is a base for a very funny game. And I was pleasantly surprised - I shot a Zombie at the other end of the cemetery and I ran to the other side of the map and the bastard found his way to me, despite having fences and forests along the way. Cool thing :)
Thanks!! Yeah the zombie are particulary relentless by design, there's a reason to it but it has to do with the story (which we didn't have the time to fully implement), nothing fancy but somehow funny!
I really enjoyed it!
Liked the music, the graphics, the mood.
Didn't quite understand why some non-zombies would target you and some didn't but whatever.
If you made it a bigger game I'd happily waste more time on it :)
Thank you for the feedback!!
About the zombies, it's strange... At the moment they share the same AI but we'll look into it!
Yeah we'll try to expand it a bit in the future we hope :-)
Ohhh finally! You liked my music and for it you deserve a like!!;)
Very nice graphics and spooky music to go with it. I was pleasantly surprised as your screenshots dont do it justice. Great submission, keep at this one and expand it!
Thank you for your comment!! Yeah we'll try to keep at it!! About the screenshots, it wasn't easy to find the right moment to capture them :-)
You put together a fun game in just 2 weeks! Sure you can add some polish but you should be pleased with what you accomplished! Nice work
Thanks!! Yeah it was challenging but somehow we did it and we learned a lot :-)
By no means a waste of time... did everything it was supposed to.
I got the gold, got out... I liked that the AI was quite persistent.
Can see potential, just needs some more time and some more love.
Nice to hear it, thanks! At the moment we stiil need to fix some basic stuff, after that we'll try to implement other things!
Found the real gold and escaped from the town. I liked your game and did not waste my time playing it ;)
And I know you probably had more stuff planned for this game but ran out of time. and I bet it would have been amazing. nevertheless still a fun game.
Thank you!! Yeah, maybe we'll add some of those features after the vote!
Awesome!
You were saying that the game was unfinished but for a Jam I think it was good, very fun to play!!!
Thank You! This is our first jam and the game was developed in a few days. We had no idea what might have happened :)
This was fun.. Few things though, you have spaces with hitboxes(colliders) were there shouldn't be, and places where there should be but aren't.. I would have liked a pick-up or two, definitely something for health.. Good mechanic though I would've like being able to crouch and jump.. but still a great entry for the jam.. Definitely spent more time playing than I planned
Thank you!!
Yeah we know, we wanted to add many other things (even storywise ) but we have a full-time job and we did it in our spare time (also this is our first finished game).
About the colliders yeah, we hope to fix it sometime this week, the past 2 days we choose to rest :-)
About health and pickups we choose to make it a little harder because we didn't had the time to make other levels, we planned for different enemies and more weapons, we'll see in the next day what to add.
Last but not least, we'll make a GNU/Linux build.
yeah, good job on your first ever game.. Congratulations!!
rsrs ... haven´t found it buggy, I liked it a lot! Simple, but stylish and fun. Very good mechanic for battles. Congratulations!
Thank you!!
Well, we fixed some of them a few hours before release :-)
But have you tried to go through any tree? Spoiler alert: you can!
We'll try to fix it in the next few days...
The game is fine. Good gameplay mechanics, it is hard, and if follows the thematic of the jam.
What I don't understand and worried to me is that the firewall blocked your game to access internet. Why is trying to access internet? I don't see multiplayer or shared boards, in the main screen.
Hi, thank you for your comment!
This is our first game!
About the firewall yes I saw that, I think that it's the wwise integration, maybe some kind of debug mode is still on (the upload was done a few minutes before the deadline) .
We'll check it out, in the meanwhile block it just to be sure.
Thank you!
