Charming concept and hilarious writing! Very enjoyable!

Damn!! This game is fun and addictive.. love it!!!

Crazyfun game!! I still have a grin thinking about their language! Just awesome...

I bet that with some custom models for the munchies and a simple arena-style playground it will be even more awesome!! If our team was more experienced I would have offered our help to expand it!

Good job!!

THIS IS AMAZING. Absolutely loved it. This really is a great piece of work.

The script, the message boxes and tutorials, the theme and of course the most of all, The Munchies Lingo. :D The SFX - yum yum yum and the coughs 😅😁 extreme level of cuteness. Would definitely want you to expand upon it and turn it into a larger Munchverse.

Also, I don't think your game is that further away from the theme, 'All that glistens is not gold.' I mean not all blobs are food :D Some make you sick and some throw you up into the sky.

Nice Sound and good  gameplay  but the simple assets I do not like.  I do not see how the game is fitting with the theme.

Developer(+2)

Thanks for comment :)

About theme - basic idea is that by having bigger herd it's harder to control them and easier to eat something by accident (it's easier to lost you Munchies). Also bad Blobs are not so bad because they give you experience and therefore make your Munchies stronger. So mechanics works according to the theme, more than some literal introduction of it.

munch munch munch.. I don't know what I'm doing half of the time, but it's a cool game with good visual and sound feedback! I would like it if the font is a bit bigger but otherwise a cool prototype!

Developer

Thanks for your comment about the font, because I probably wouldn't have notice that by myself. I'll work on it.

Yes, game for now is funny, but the mechanisms are not yet sufficiently explained (and also not calibrated). This is my next goal - that the player knows what he/she is doing and can also set goals for himself/herself and what he/she wants to achieve.

Thanks for comment!

BTW. Your game inspired me to add a similar system where you can win new types of Munchies! I think it can motivate player in great way!

Cool game! Such a good visual feedback for every change that occur.

I felt like I missed power-ups like slo-mo e.g, it would be awesome :)

Good job and keep it up :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for comment! Yes, power-ups and more types of Blobs are on the to-do list :)

Great job on this one! It was hilarious and the audio was on point with that. Was laughing the entire time. Well done!

Developer

Happy to hear that :) that was my point!

Submitted(+1)

Developer(+1)

LOL

Dude, I just had a great time playing this game. Awesome work!

Submitted(+1)

This game is brilliant and the sounds are absolutely perfect. I love this game and you have to make this in to a real complete game for web and mobile or its a huge waste. This has a massive amount of potential. Congrats on such a fun little game. I played it on a live stream earlier tonight if you wanted to see anytime.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for this stream, it was very good experience for me to see how you're playing my game :)

And thanks for the review!

On the back of the Great Turtle Atuin,  Four Elephants carry the Dicworld on their backs where Rincewind never looks back when running away cos it slows you down. Munchies!!! Awesome game!!

Submitted(+2)

From what starts out thinking this is a simple little game, develops into something more compelling and complex.
Great work on the gameplay element. Working out different features and ways to change things up and add extra spice to the game. And a fun tutorial as well to bring it along.
Great job! Well done :).

Developer

Thank you very much! :)

Its amazing wow. Very good game, well put together. Its fun to move the herd around, take care of it, because they can get sick, trapped, killed and you lose your minions. I enjoyed playing it and was sad that it was over, I wanted to play more :)

Developer

Thank you :) The project will be for sure developed :)

This really worked for me. Probably one of my favorite of the jam so far. I appreciate that most of the game says it's a tutorial, but really it's a slowly unfolding puzzley game. I had a few navigational problems at first - I couldn't move to the top of the screen because I couldn't click past the bar at the top. And level two only required 5 deaths instead of 10 which the popup stated. But once I figured out I could zoom out, the game played a lot better. I'd almost start the game zoomed out.

Bonus points for the turtle. Overall, super well done! Good job!

Developer(+2)

Thank you for comment :) Yeah I forgot to tell player about zooming out. It's still surprising me how important is to teach every basic thing of your game, especially on a jam. That's for sure what I learned here :)
