Great submission. Fun to play. I had a lot of issues with the controls not reacting at all. When everything went well, every first zombie would not move at all later ones then would move. Or no Zombie moved at all until I switched to another browser.
I am also just bad at jumping. But you can fill the pit, so you don't have to.
Can you tell me what browser you used please?
It seems to effect a small number of people, so I suspect it's to do with certain browsers interecting with Unitys WebGL build set up, with the new input system. Something i'll have to find a fix for moving forwards.
Great teamwork there! That final Zombie had a lot of help! :D
Thanks for playing and for feeding back!
I was using the new MS Edge (Chromium based) and Chrome.
I liked you game especially the character design was on point and I love the voice acting! One can jump up walls tho don't know if this was intentional! I also think that the zombies could respawn a little faster with how often you need to die.
Zombie respawn time has been brought up a few times, and yeah I agree :).
Glad you enjoyed the voice acting! I thought briefly about trying to find zombie voice sounds,.. then realised I could do it myself! :D
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for playing!
Definitely the right choice! If I had had more time I would have also done some "voice acting" for my mushroom enemies as that just seems hella fun :D
Very enjoying experience :D
Sometimes it was a bit hard to make stairs from the dead zombies.
Thanks for playing!
I think I need to make the dead bodies heavier, so they don't get knocked around so much :).
Think that'd help.
Thanks for the feedback
Really fun game!! Well though puzzles, good visuals and music... I can't find any suggestion to make to improve it!! Good game!
Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
Finished it with 47 deaths, this was a lot of fun. Like the glowsticks. Sooo, this zomployee is owed some brains after all that work. :D Keep at this you got something good here.
The puzzles are well-made and actually fun! It feels very complete given the time limit. I especially love how new mechanics are introduced to the players. The uranium rods' glow makes the game look really good. The writings are witty too. Very solid entry.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :).
The 2D lighting nearly broke me in the middle of the Jam,. but I'm glad I stuck with it and got them working :).
Thanks for the feedback!
Excellent game, very similar concept to ours! Nicely executed, I love the lighting and ambience of the game, I did seem to lose the ability to move on level 6 after dying once, the input just didn't seem to be recognised. Great game though, keep up the great work!
Something not perfect with the input system, WebGl and some browsers. What browser was you using?
Havn't been able to pin down when this bug occours yet, or how, but it isn't in the editor, nor for most people.
Thanks for playing and for the feedback!
Very fun game and nice amount of levels :)
Only thing I would say to make this game better, is to add some coyote time, where the player has half a second extra to make the jump after leaving the platform.
I debated the whole jump mechanic issue for a while :). In the end, felt the Shimmying up the wall was a fun addition for a jam game. Though future versions I need to commit one way or another to it.
Coyote jump may well be the best compromise :). Great suggestion, thanks!
Thanks for playing and for the feedback!
Game Mechanic is so cool.
if you could spawn the next deadman faster would be better and make gameplay smoother.
i got bored because of that.
overall cool game.
Thanks for the feedback. Had a couple others say a faster respawn would be good, think that's fair :).
Hope you didn't get too bored :P.
Thanks for playing!
Nice Art, Visuals and Level design. Liked it
Thanks a lot! glad you liked it :). Thanks for playing
Wow, this is incredible. This is the best puzzle game. This is quickly becoming one of my favourite jam's games. Excellent mechanics, and you make good use of the theme . I'm hoping that if you render this game to mobile, it will be fantastic.
That's great to hear :) thanks!
Got to add a thumbstick and an onscreen jump button for mobile, but totatly do-able :).
Thanks for playing and rating!
Wow this was fun and I adored the art! The game mechanics are great and a brilliant use of the theme :)
Thanks a lot, i'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for playing! :)
Hahahaha, I clicked on the quit game button. Well done. I find it funny that so many people put the quit button in their webgl builds and it was fun to see someone use that.
Great job on this. I really appreciated a lot of the choices you made here. Leaning into the absurdity and making the zombies squares really made me smile though. With the exception of the few bugs you mentioned in the description, everything felt pretty good.
I might consider decreasing the respawn time a bit. If you have to be replaying a level several times to complete it, faster respawns would help keep the momentum of gameplay going. It can feel a little slow and sloggy otherwise. Also, maybe increase the weight on the dead zombies a bit? I had a few weird moments where I would jump onto a platform and knock away the body already on the switch. Particularly in the sawblade levels, I ended up dying more than needed trying to put those bodies back. Little things though.
Overall, congrats and well done!
ahh increase the mass on the dead zombies,.. that's a great idea! Yeah they do get a bit slip and slidey :P. I just got used to it when play testing it :D, but that makes more sence :).
And yeah, as it's a game where you'll be dying and respawning new a lot, could probably half the respawn time. Good note.
Thanks for the feed back, and for playing!, Much apreciated!
Love it! Great job on those extra levels. Total Zomtalities was 50! You can easily create an alternate version where you have to kill the least amount of zombies possible to reach the goal even!
Good Zomtatities there :P.
That's a fair point, could be a section/levels/area where you only have X number of Zoms,.. or a rating/marker system that records the lowest number of Zoms killed in to make work.
Something to add to my list for furthering :)
Thanks for playing and the feed back!
Solid puzzle game with flavour. I especially like how you change the terrain with your corpses!
Thanks a lot :). Really glad you enjoyed it :).
ХЛЕБ!
Google translate has that word down as Bread,.. but thanks! :D
Cool game, like the mechanics. I think you might need to turn friction off on your physics material, I kept sticking to walls when jumping.
rate4rate?
ah Physics material on the walls,. .that would have been a good idea :P.
I also should have put a "feet" collider on the Zombies,.. but in the end I left in the ability to shimmy up walls, as it was fun :P.
Have to make a choice moving forwards though, wether to leave it in and make it more a feature,.. or fix that and level design fully without it.
Thanks for playing and the feedback!
Will indeed be rating in return all those who comment/rate mine at the front of the queue :) (just might take me a couple of days to get through with work :P)
Way to go, you nailed the theme!
Thanks! :) Glad you liked it!
Love the work on this and the imagination behind it! Just the thought of having to use former corpses to solve puzzles puts a really great spin on the idea. Great job!
Thanks! much apreciated! :)
Hey, just thought I'd drop by again to say good job on the game 😎
Thanks! :)
