Those creepy voices really got to me! The controls and the attacking felt satisfying and overall I liked the way it looked. It did get a little silly when the voices started overlapping themselves after lots of the enemies spawned, but that's understandably not priority item to tweak when you're trying to complete a game in such a short time frame! Overall, I had a great time with this :)
Thanks!
> get a little silly when the voices started overlapping
well, you shouldn't be there :D
Nice work! Those whispers really gave a nice spooky feeling. I really liked the music, the world, and the particle effects.
Thanks!
The controls were very smooth. Good job on the procedural generation, works really well for this game. I had my headphones on, the whispers when the phoenix is nearby were a nice unexpected touch :D I would have maybe liked a larger beacon for the soul, that way you could spot it from a distance and vaguely know where to go, but you'll still have to figure out how to get there through the maze. Good game!
Thanks!
Talking as someone who made a game in first person in another game jam, this game looks very good. The player controller is very smooth, the way the maze is randomly generated is also amazing. I really like how you can kind of tell if you are in danger or not by the voice lines. Great job!
Thanks mate!
Fun game, but I also was not able to find any soul. Only a lot of phoenixes.
Thanks, hmm damn, i'm pretty sure there was the lost soul somewhere, it's always there :)
Thanks for playing!
I liked the feel of the game, and having procedurally generated maps helps to keep it fresh.
I think that it could have done with a little more signposting of roughly where the next soul is, but it came together well as an exploration FPS
Thanks for the feedback!
Yep, there is lot of space for the improvements :D
I couldn't save any souls :( Search around for 5 mins, and didn't save anyone :(,..
shooting the phoenix, and it respawning double was a kool mechanic. The gun fparticle effect could do with being reduced though.
Well done!
Thanks, some soul compas would help probably :D
I liked the feel of the movement a lot. I would say if you can tone down the fire-effect that might help as sometimes it gets hard to see what's in front of you. Overall, great submission and great style!
Thanks!
Nice quite fun to play. The Graphics are good but the sound of the fenix plays a bit too much. But overall great game.
Thanks, yep that Fenix is making me angry as well! :D
the game had really smooth control. sound of the phonex respawn is too much. also i had a difficult to find the souls that needed me. i heard their voice. but i could not find them. do you understand.
i could...
i could saved them :(( i m joking. thanks for this nice game. congats for your submission :D
Very nice graphics and postprocessing. I got quite lost in my first attempt as I couldn't find a soul before encountering the hunter.
Nice aesthetic
Thanks :)
Nice game. Great spooky vibe and fun gameplay loop. I would add an indicator that you collected a ghost/spirit since I thought didn't do anything. Took me a while to get the hang of things
Thanks for the feedback.
That's true, some indication would be good.
I thought the random generation was pretty good especially since you said it was the first time doing it. I think one thing as far as the gameplay goes, I'd suggest maybe making the phoenix a bit more challenging. I know that if you kill it then it will multiply, so I naturally stopped shooting it and just started avoiding it. Maybe as you collect more souls you could increase the speed of the phoenix that way it might force the player to want/need to shoot it in order to get away from it.
Great work though! Congrats on your submission.
Thanks for the feedback.
Yep, true, some higher intelligence or behaviour would help here.
Nice game, it did take me a little while of walking around to figure out what I was supposed to be doing, but when I got it it was pretty fun! Nice work
Thanks!
Great maze generation, sounds were awesome, wished for faster mouse reaction
Thanks for the feedback!
It was very scary, all the voices made us not want to play this in the dark haha!
Haha, "sorry" for that :D
