Quite fun and very well-made!
thanks
Interesting concept, I found getting a shot on target to be a bit difficult, but I am sure with some refining it'll turn out to be a great game! Nice job!
pob wont rework it... its a game jam, and i kinda like it that way.
thanks :)
A fun game! The music, sprites, and sound effects blend very well with each other! The game is simple but well-made. The control works exactly as you would expect. The sprites are very good!
To make the game better, it is probably good to have more space at the border or to keep the character at the center of the camera. Not in full screen, the game doesn't feel great, and with full screen, it is still difficult to have good control over the character when it is close to the edge. Also, the death mechanic feels a bit weird. Other than the ghost form which trivializes the entire game, the other form seems to just be a more difficult version of the first as you start deeper. And I doubt that many people can reach the boss without ghost form. So it is probably a good idea to adjust the respawn mechanic to provide more perks.
Overall, this is a fun game with beautiful music and sprite. I especially like the mspaint intro, it is energetic and full of character. Good job!
Awww thankssssss.
I'd much rather have more space on the sides than putting the player in the middle. When i played the game in full screen it seemed like there was enough space on the sides, i guess i was mistaken. ps: honestly didnt expect anyone to play not fullscreen (i thought everyone went full screen)
" Other than the ghost form which trivializes the entire game" : honestly that was just for those that were really having a bit of trouble. I still wanted them to be able to finish the game.
"other form seems to just " : 100 % agree. i was planning on making the gun shot more bullets everytime u die (kinda like a shotgun). But i kinda ran outta time and forgot about it. U were supposed to progressively become stronger. But ye...
" mspaint intro" : thanks man. :)
Pretty cool game! It gave me those flash game vibes haha I miss those days.
There were a few times where I miss-clicked on the side of the screen which caused the game to pause. I suppose my only suggestion would be to add an additional fire button (such as spacekey) which would help avoid this issue. That being said, this isn't necessarily an issue for the game itself.
Also when you slow down time, it makes the framerate appear laggy. From what I remember this is the expected behavior if you're using time scale to slow down things, instead of slowing down the object's velocity. Anyhow at this point I'm just being very picky hahaha but I figured I should mention this :)
Lastly if you do continue developing this game, something neat to consider implementing is a level system (where you have to complete each level to unlock new ones, etc).
Hope this feedback helps and big congrats on your submission!!

"miss-clicked" : did u go full screen. when im in full screen i dont have that issue.
" framerate appear laggy": honestly didnt know that. i'll look into it.
" unlock new ones" : aishhhh. game jam eyyyyy. aint no one got the time for datttt
"Pretty cool game": awwwww thankssss
flash game: ngl had to look that up. cool. thx
Miss-clicking happened less in full screen, although I have another monitor hooked up so it still occurred when I moved my mouse close to the edge of the screen.
Very fun to play enjoyed the mechanics of the shooting.
Only problem I found was on certain levels or if I got far enough I couldn't get killed by the bullets but this was also the only way I could make it to the boss as it was quite difficult. Might be good to have 3 lives or shield power up.
The art and music was also cool really fit the pace of the game.
yep. that was kinda the idea. if u died too much you'd turn into a ghost and basically become invincible. That way even if you're having trouble you can still reach the boss.
Prob it needed better balancing.
I shouldve made it to where the more u die the easier it gets (aka you get stronger). And that was the initial plan, but i was running outta time and kinda forgot about it ngl.
ps: Thabnksss
Ahh That makes sense now. The other Idea sounds good. Know how it is with running out of time.
Cool submission! I like that you can slow down time.
thanksss
fun game i like that the character evolves as you die
thanks dudeeeeee :)
The game is funny but adding the instructions on how to play will do, love the graphics and sound effects
"but adding the instructions on how to play will do," : what instructions were missing? (i can add them rn in the discription)
"love the graphics and sound effects" : awww chucksssss thanksssss
A tip that you can slow down time in the game itself would be good also adding some particles for when an enemy is destroyed would add more satisfaction for the onslaught. Other than that it was fun to mess around, great work, make more :D
"tip that you can slow down time in the game" : honestly thought about it but couldnt really come up with anything.
"particles for when an enemy is destroyed" : ye. didnt get enough time. time be like dat
Thanks :)
