With the cover art being amazing I was expecting more. I would love to hear some sounds on fire or destroy. Maybe decrease the time between enemies and more enemies per wave.
Thank you for playing. The sound effects will come with one of the next versions. time was running out for me.
The wave mechanic is on the fix list.
It was very simplistic. Very fast to know what to do. Did I just shoot coins at the enemies ? I like the wave mechanic.
But why is there only one enemy in the next wave ? What is he attacking when he reached my turret ?
Is it possible to loose the game at all ? A few more enemy soldiers to kill, some pickups would enhance the game play and adding a loose mechanic.
thanks for playing. You shoot a turret bullet at the enemies.
There are 4 different enemy types and i wanted to introduce them withhin the waves. so wave 1-5 is enemyType1 . 6-10 type 2 and so on. and with wave 21 they will be 5 random mixed enemies.
Yes, the Tower has lives and when it hit's 0 the game ends. i had not enough time to implement a healthbar or other method to display the health of the tower. it will come in one of the next versions. PickUps were not on my list, because in one of the next updated i want to introduce the upgrade shop.
Fun game, i was playing away for a good bit and it seems well done. I noticed that if you press pause it paused the game and showed the menu fine but you can still move the cannon, i'm not sure if that was intentional. Very nice job though especially for starting in febuary.
the pause i need to change completly . Right now it's just a canvas which will be enabled and the timeScale is set to 0.
Thank you for playing. I will upgrade it further and try to complete the game
Nice submission, congrats on finishing. I played your game on my youtube and gave my initial reactions and feedback from the short play of it that I did if you want to see it you can check it out here.
Thank you for the feedback. i will upgrade the game further after the jam.
Really liked it, I kept waiting for the time to decrease between rounds! but it was great! Rated!
thank you, changes will be made when the jam is officially done.
It was a good experience - simple, yet did its job very well. A few things you could probably do pretty easily are add some sound effect to shooting and destroying enemies, and maybe then add a canvas with a text field that tracks your score and how many enemies you killed. Make the enemies spawn significantly faster as you play for a while just waiting for 1 to show up before you take him out pretty quickly. Good job!
Thank you for the input. The Canvas should be on the right side in the rocks. The timing for the different waves should be faster at the beginning, when there is only one enemie, from wave 21 there should be 5 enemies at once. Maybe i will add an option in the setting so that the player could choose the time between the waves. Thanks
oh thats really weird. I played the game in full screen and couldn't see the canvas. but when I play it in the browser I can see the canvas and the timer! That's an odd bug! In terms of enemies I reckon you could speed it up a bit maybe, but thats a minor thing I think. I enjoyed it.
Basic but cool take on the theme, great work for first jam! For my taste the it starts too slow, I would want to put in more enemies or the waves closer to each other. If you have time, I would really like to hear your thoughts on our game and get your rating ;)
Nice Job!
Great first game! Putting it all together in to a tight and polished demo like this is a big achievement in such a little time
Nice vibe and simple. Great first game
Thank you
Great job on your first game, Keep going!
Thank you
Excellent work for your first game! Keep it up!
thank you, i will continue to code games.
If my first ever game would only have been as half as nice as this one :-) Keep on coding!
i will thank you.
Simple but fun. Congrats on your first game jam submission!
Thank you very much.
You got a functional game submitted that is great for your first game jam! I like the level design with obstacles narrowing the player's shooting lanes and the UX indicating when the next wave is coming in.
I didn't hear any sound effects or if the music was playing over it. But the music is good though I was able to tell when it looped.
hi notme. sadly i wasn't able to put sound effects in. But after the jam i will finish the game. Got NavMesh on 2D working was a little something, but i am happy it worked out. Thanks
Game is not bad, when you begin you have to wat too much for enemies to spawn.
And is missing some progress indicator, also just a simple "how many enemies I killed" or "How many shoots I fired".
Music is good.
Thanks CPU, i uploaded a hotfix and the webGL to play it in browser. Now you should see all of the screen. I build it with the wrong resolution.
The game certainly has a charming appeal and shows great potential. While it currently lacks a narrative, I understand the challenges of game development within a tight timeframe of ten days (I’ve been there!). I encourage you to continue refining the game. I’m eager to revisit it post-Jam and explore the new dimensions you’ll add to it. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for the kind words. i started on friday . I uploaded a hotfix .
