Nice defence game. I think that the pace is maybe a little slow for this type of thing, a faster game pace with more building and rewards (with maybe harder enemies to balance) I think would help keep the player more engaged. Extremely well executed and polished for a jam entry though.

Developer(+1)

I did want to add more enemies, and harder waves with faster pace, but I ran out of time. I'll try to take this into account if I make an update for this game.

Thank you for playing!

Fun little game you made here. Very simple but attractive graphics and music and sound. Only issue is the repetive mouse clicking maybe auto fire option would be good. The build items were neat though great idea and execution.

Overall game very nice!

Developer(+1)

you can hold the mouse button to auto-fire, I added a note for that in the description but I guess I'll have to make it clearer.

Thank you for playing!

Nice game, good balance of the art, music and mechanics. I notice that you can buy your already owned weapon (and waste money, lol) Congrats! Keep going!

Developer

Yeah I found out about this bug today, kinda embarassing to be honest 😅.

Although, I added a note in the page description to warn players about this bug, I just hope they read it XD

Thank you for playin!

Very cool art, and interesting mechanics! I think the fun aspect really relies on having more items and enemies and knowing when to use what etc. overall really well done!

Developer

Yup, I absolutely agree with you, but I only had 5 days to make the game, so I had to cut out 2 traps, 1 weapon, and 3 enemies which is why the game might feel like it ended too early..

Nonetheless, thank you for the valuable feedback, and thank you for playing!

New kingdom here babyyyyy, oh yah.  I like the sprites and feel like everything went well together. The building of defences was cool. So down for any games with freezing towers!

Developer (1 edit)

You know I put all my time writing the intro text and I just threw the ending text out the window XD

Freezing crystal tower took way to long to add, but it was definitely worth it, I'm glad you liked it :)

Thanks for playing!

Your cover art drew me in and I was very satisfied that it was true to the game. I loved the feel of it.

Thank you for playing!

Glad you liked the art :D

I came to your page because I knew you had put out some great stuff in previous jams, and this is no exception!

What a great game! I had a lot of fun playing. The level of polish on this is impressive. The visuals and UI feel very cohesive. The only thing I would change would be to make the crossbow feel more powerful after all the anticipation of waiting to be able to afford it the whole game. But overall very impressive game to make in such a small time frame! Great work! 😎

Developer

Thank you so much for playing (even before the page having a cover image :O )!

Really glad you liked the game! Sadly I only worked for 5 days, and it's my first game using Godot engine, so I didn't have time to nail down the power balance very well, that's why the game is a bit short and unbalanced (I balanced everything 30 minutes before the deadline😅)

Nonetheless, thank you for playing!
