Excellent submission. Great sound design and music with a compelling story and writing. I played until the end. The speech rate slider wasn’t working for me, so I just used my eyes. The interface itself is nice and suits it well. It’s certainly one of the more polished visual novels that I’ve come across on itch.io in a while. I’m excited to see how this evolves. Nice work!

Great sound design, chic sounds. But the sound of the monster in the depths of the city is not suitable for the underwater world. Can you use any of the terrible underwater sounds? A very interesting plot. I correctly understood that the underwater base on which the main character falls in

New York Bay? I look forward to the full version.

Thank you! For the underwater monster I wanted to stress the fact that it's more like an animal than a monster, because maybe it's not totally evil, so I ended up using a very up close recording of breathing. That said, I will try to experiment with new sounds (or even music) for the monster as the game goes on.

Also yes, the game is set in New York: this is an homage to the 1998's Godzilla movie, which also had a monster and it was set in New York with never ending rain.

Outstanding demo! The story is intriguing and the music is wonderful. Can't wait for the full release!

Wow, loved this! The opening scene was really compelling, I particularly loved how the dream ended and the audio transition into the first chapter - perfectly impression of the off-kilter feeling of leaving a dream. The interactions with the fish was also surprising and intriguing, and I would be really excited to unravel their mysteries! I also like the base you establish by the end, having a room for listening to music was a great choice, and I could see myself hanging out there a lot and listening to these jamming tracks.
I don't think I have much feedback on what exists so far, and would be excited to continue playing if you publish more of the story! Great work!!!

I did not go far into the game, but I think it is more because of a setting problem on my side. I could not manage to get the windows narrator to use the english voice, which totally killed the mood.

I had a great laugh hearing French Hortense trying to speak english words though. I will say frrom what I saw here were moments with unsettling sounds thaat really got me anxious, good work on the sounds.

I totally get your issue, being Italian, I got the same problem too when I was testing so I had to change my computer's self-voicing language.

It's more or less easy on Mac (my main computer) but when I tested it on Windows it was incredibly complicated that I forgot all the steps!

I'll look into this matter more and maybe add a tutorial on the game page to setup everything. Thank you for your feedback!

Also forgot to say, great work on the music, the second part of the main menu made me think a lot of that Final Fantasy XIII intro, love it <3
