That was fun! The mechanics were a little confusing at first, but I discovered my way into them. The art is really interesting; I especially like the generated fog effect! The character design is charming.
Despite not being very Game Boy, the sounds and soundtrack are quite interesting! They make for a unique experience.
The combination of various flashing effects, including the bullets and the final boss, might warrant a flashing lights warning.
All-in-all, good work!
Actually played this for a while, it's tough! But I loved the idea of the lighting and the players ability to create lighting is tied to things that can seriously mess them up! The music was fitting too!

I was really confused playing this. Some of the rooms where you try to avoid projectiles are almost impossible to get out of without taking multiple hits. the boss room with the ghost is where I stopped because I had nothing to beat him with and when I tried going back the game softlocked. Love the artstyle. Music was good, but some of the sounds in the music didn't sound like they could be made on a gameboy.
Thanks for your feedback :) It's difficult to measure the difficulty when you are making a game, so I take good care of your comment ! I 've made some changes (for example the projectiles you create are now harmless for you) and bug fixing (the rooms transitions,...). You can find the new version here if you want to try :)

The game is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT, the collision seems weird to me, and my magic damaging me left me slightly frustrated... the music at least is pretty cool, the colors and lighting are also great.

Hahahah x) SORRY . But true. I've made some significant changes on the new version, if you want to try it again. There is some big adjustment (bug fixed : room transition, collisions, projectiles, and a new health system, a lot of new rooms etc.) =) Thx for your feedback :)
