Pretty good, controls felt super responsive, I liked how you have to attack at different positions, it was enjoyable to play. Didn't feel it so spooky, like the light halo didn't make me feel so terrified like in other games, maybe because I felt I was super powerful with that gun xD, not sure, also not sure if the light added too much in gameplay. It looks awesome though, even with each gunshot.
This is pretty cool and fun. I'd love to have controller support on this. One thing that was kind of annoying is having only Z as a button, because on some keyboard layouts such as mine Z and Y are switched, resulting in a very awkward hand pose.
The game ended very abruptly, some death animation for the boss and a transition would be nice.
Everything else: awesome.
Love it.
Really juicy! I enjoyed the atmosphere, really effective and spooky!
That was cool! The mechanics are competent and fun to use. The art is proficient, the atmosphere and soundtrack are grim, and the sound of gunfire is punchy and powerful.
The audio is a smidgen loud; it regularly peaks above +0.0 dB.
The intro, as-is, probably warrants a flashing lights warning.
All-in-all, good work!
Great entry!! I really liked the beefy audio and the overall feel! I never really felt a need for the jump button so moving that to just reloading without the extra input of DOWN might make sense!
Great game!!
Very good audio and punchy ost ! Challenging gameplay! Strong visual ! great entry !!
Great game! I genuinely would play more if you made it.
The visuals and music are excellent.
Some stuff may be too strong for a GB limitation, but I would not consider downsides because they added to the aesthetic.
Great job! I'd love to see more. The gameplay was extremely tight and pacing was done very well. Good ol' Frank was a definite bullet sponge, but not unfair. The manual reload mechanic was definitely helpful. Really no downsides except I wish it was longer!
I enjoyed playing it! Nice job!
Wow, great game. I liked the mood, sound graphics and simplicity.
Great game! It's very polished and fun to play, simple gameplay that works really well here. Almost managed to defeat the final boss too but it cornered me and I didn't think of getting past it. But overall a great entry, congrats!
Also there's a funny bug where pressing reset many times in a row stacks the music track, let's say it got really crunchy.
Love the color scheme you chose, overall the visual give a really cool atmosphere.
One piece of feedback is it seemed a lot of the enemies didn't want to approach until I got very close, which made them easy to pick off from distance. Perhaps just increasing their threat range would lead to a bit more tension prior to the boss fight.
Really nice videogame, simple yet functional gameplay, very nice graphics, and excellent use of the 4 colors. The music is also great. Great job!
Absolutely gorgeous from start to finish - player and enemy sprites are distinct and full of character whilst feeling authentic to the Gameboy limitations, the tiles look perfect (shoutout to the coniferous trees in the first section) and I just adore the dithering light effect. Palette is so so good, and even the game page looks beautiful!
Gameplay makes great use of the limited controls, with a well thought out control scheme and enemies that force you to use all of the mechanics.
Nice and simple run and gun with a lot of enemy variety. Frankenstein himself can feel a little bit tanky but no complaints other than that. Art is really nice as well. Good work! :)
