How does your game meet GBJam's theme?
The game twist/ending is very spooky. Also at the game intro there is something spooky because your food gets stolen, which makes HAMHAM surprised!

To start: if someone is having trouble clearing the big jump, you have to boost jump by pressing and holding jump and then pressing and holding attack.
Other than that, I liked the art, the story is not something I'd call spooky but the idea of reflecting on the damage done is good :)
very well made, and the art is really nice. Good job!!
FYI, there are story spoilers in this review for anyone that still wants to play, so to those people, avert your eyes and look somewhere else! Anyways...
At first, this doesn't feel spooky at all, aside from a single cutscene near the beginning of the game. The first parts felt like a cute, innocent enough platformer where you shoot enemies and take down the boss that steals your food at the beginning of the game. Once you defeat the boss, THAT's where the interpretation of "spooky" comes into play. You got what you came for, but as you look all around, there are stains of blood in spots where you killed the enemies. Night falls, You yourself are stained with the blood of your enemies. The whole vibe leaves you questioning whether killing the boss for some food was worth all the bloodshed! Then, there's the ending. The ending is so spooky, that I can't bring myself to mention it here. It's a solid game with solid graphics, solid music, and the soul of a Wario Land-style platformer! Outstanding work! :)
That was exactly what our team were aiming for. Thanks you for playing !!!
It's a cute game with nice art, but nothing about it felt spooky. Full disclosure though, if the spookiness was in the ending, I missed it. I'm not great at platformers and there was a big jump that had me stumped. Nice job on getting game in for the jam.
