How does your game meet GBJam's theme?
It is gameboy theme, and it is spooky.

All in all nice. A bit short with too much text, but I was surprised when the halloween theme started.

I managed to escape from the first try, yay! I didn't mind reading 2-3 words per line unlike commenters below - that's a part of the charm. It certainly feels like a GB game!

The idea is not bad, but the game does have a few issues. I really wish you used both lines of your dialogue box - reading two words at a time gets annoying real fast. The narrative could be slightly better executed - it lacks subtelty.  I also feel like you didn't have to ask if I really want to close the fridge... The music works nicely in setting the atmosphere. Good job!

although the text wasn't very readable i found this as a homage to the movie halloween really cute. the graphics are simple and feel very gameboy-esque, reminds me a lot of pokemon. good job!

I am sure that you used GB Studio to make it. To improve the readability of the text use 2 lines at least. I barely read anything since it was 1-2 words on its dialogue. Also use avatars to signify who is speaking. Apart from that the whole setting was really good! Great effort!

I really liked the ideia and the setting, congratulations! If you intend to work on the project after the jam, here are some things I noticed and would be nice to be improved:

I lost the game once and tried to play it again, but the murderer was already there from the beginning. My guess is that you probably forgot to reset a boolean!

Because of the problem above I had to refresh the page every time I wanted to try again, and I had to replay it a couple times in order to win the game. I accidentally hit capslock while running from the murderer, and and the inputs stop working... Maybe it's case-sensitive, but that is the first time I see this kind of problem.

Also, I think you could develop the thrill a little bit more before de assassin appears, that would make it more fun (at least for me).

Congratulations again!
