Really great atmosphere and genuinely spooky! I was happy when I realised I could walk faster on the subsequent playthroughs. I haven't been able to figure out how to get the "sleep" ending yet but I got the other ones.

Whoops, looks like I released a new plague. Well done for the timeframe you had, I'm looking forward to see what you add in. The first time I played it I didn't notice the monster hanging out on the right due to the route I took so it was nice seeing a couple different things each time I played. Great work.

very spooky atmosphere, but could use a faster pace with the walking sprite

Developer

Thank you for playing my game! I have explained what was the reasoning behind the slow walking speed in the previous reply. I totally understand that the game might be too slow, it is something I might need to change.

Submitted(+1)

Pretty interesting concept, I just hope I could walk a bit faster.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you for trying my game. I absolutely understand that the player is slow, but after testing all movement speeds, I ended up leaving it really slow. Being slow and witnessing the beast being really quick, gave me that feeling of helplessness I wanted. I even wanted to add a gun in the mix but making it useless against the beast. In the end I might be just wrong, so I leave it at that.
Of course, since this is a jam, people might want to go through the game quickly. If you press select (Shift) during the GBJAM starting screen you gain extra speed. This is written in the description.

Nice creepy game, I wish there were more getting chased by the monster. :D

Developer

Thank you for trying my game! That was the plan at the start but since time was really limited this was all I could make...

Really creepy! Great atmosphere. The "sleep" ending was super unexpected!

Developer

Haha, yeah the sleep ending was more like a joke ending.

Played twice but didn't get how to unlock a different ending and also the movement speedup didn't work  to play a third time. It was interesting, I really wanted to know more about what happened and how to unlock the other endings.

Developer

To use the speed up movement you need to press select (Shift) at the GBJam screen and you need to be quick since the screen doesn't stay for long. A tip of 2 of the endings is that you don't need to collect items for them. Nonetheless thank you for trying out my game!

The horror works surprisingly well!

Developer

Thank you, I tried my best.

Scary stuff.. well done.

Developer

Thank you!

People need to learn to stop going to places where "no one has returned from alive."

Developer

Classic game where the hero is to brave for his own good.

Submitted(+1)

This beyond spooky! This is terrifying! Nice job!

Developer

I hope I didn't spooked you too hard...

why is there cocaine in the lab dude

Developer

Who spilled the good stuff man?

Submitted(+1)

One of the few entries that actually had me spooked 😱

Developer

I really pushed the whole atmosphere and the jumpscare! Thank you for trying out my game!

I was at the edge of my seat the whole time! Sound design and slow pace of the game compliment each other really well. Good job!

Developer

Thank you so much! The slow pace goes with the whole helplessness the player has. I am really pleased that people enjoy the whole atmosphere.

Great atmosphere and I liked the simplicity of the game. Very impressive for 3 days. Nice work!

Developer

I tried my best to make something simple, due to the time limit I had. Thank you for playing my game!

Love the atmosphere, the monster was really on point! Solid entry ٩(◕‿◕)۶

Developer

Thank you so much!

Nice atmosphere! I like the concept. Really feels like a gb game. I loved the monster sound too!

Developer

Thank you for playing my game! I am happy that it all worked out!

I definitely got spooked when I saw the mutant just standing there on the other side of the wall. I missed it on my first playthrough, which made it even spookier. The part about "oh, these are human bones" then putting them in the inventory made me laugh. You mentioned you usually make turn based game. Good on you for stepping outside your comfort zone for a game jam. Nice job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for trying my game! I just wanted to try something I haven't done before with the limited time I had, so I made a simple slenderman style game. Really happy that you had fun with what I made!
