A very arcade one! Nice art and mood, I had a nostalgic feeling playing this. Great job!
Nice design, love that you have to pick back up the bones and that the pumpkins move away from where the enemy was killed. This really helps to keep the player moving around the screen which is key for single screen arcade games.
Cute sprites too!
i really enjoyed the music in this game. I wrote the music for 2 games in this jam, but both times I was scared to use the 8-bit drum sounds. Now that I have played this game, I wish that I had used the 8-bit drum sounds - they sound really good in this game. Great job overall, it was spooky, gameboy-ey, and had nice melodies :)
Thanks for the kind words. It's a very short loop that took an inordinate amount of time for me to create. I used the music tracker that's built into Pico-8 and just stuck to square and noise waves to keep the Gameboy feel, though anyone who knows what they're hearing will see the difference. The bass drum sound is just a low note in a square wave with a drop effect applied (not that I could tell what that means!) and the hi-hat is noise 4 octaves higher played really short.
fun and simple, little platform style game, enjoyed it loved the colours too.
super fun and simple... love the simplicity of the gameplay, while still having depth, my only suggestion would be to either not have the enemies die too far away or have the pumpkins last longer, otherwise a pretty solid game.

It reminds me of Bubble Bobble, very simple but good.
Very cool! The mechanics are simple yet fun. Very interesting level desing, puts the mechanics at its fullest. The graphics are incredible! In general, good work!!
