Did you use any third-party assets or skeleton code?
Our team made all assets during the jam. I used the Raylib minshell skeleton code for producing a minimum shell for Emscripten

Loved the art style !
As some have pointed out, dodging is more effective than trying to shoot enemies, imho they should take a fewer hits to kill. The pattern are quite good, overall nice job !

Thanks! Glad you liked it!
Very polished and very challenging!, I figured out how to cheese by hiding in the top left and waiting for most waves of enemies pass hehe
Thank you! The way I see it, cheesing is just another form of mastery, so well played :)
Controls struggle a bit on the Web for me, for example up and down tries to scroll my browser! But I can see this is a beautiful game, moves well, enemy patterns and logic seem challenging and even with my problems I can see this being fun.
Thank you! Ye the scrolling thingy is annoying but can be solved by using a different browser like Firefox. There used to be a fullscreen button but it magically disappeared when i changed the Emscripten template :/
I'll try with Firefox tomorrow. But regardless you can see it's a well crafted game!
I never expected a shoot em up game to be relaxing but you know.. it kinda works! the games atmosphere is beautiful, the art and music are stunning.
the game feels unfair at times, its hard to see the tiny bullets over the (beautiful ) background and sometimes a tiny bullet clips the edge of your spaceship and deals damage, which feels bad. maybe experiment with making the bullets bigger and lowering the players size?
lovely game, good job!
Thank you very much!
It's my bad for bullets being so small! hope you had good experience regardless!
Thank you, didn't expect "relaxing" to be on the compliment list hahaha. Making the player collider a bit smaller was on my todo list but was forgotten somewhere along the way x) . Sorry for that.
there is something weirdly relaxing in listening to the music and the rapid "thump" sounds while wiggling between bullets. maybe its just me.
The game looks beautiful, but it's a bit hard to see what's bullets and what's just the background when there's a lot happening. And the game is a bit hard, but balancing is always hard when there's basically no time. Great job!
Thanks! Bullets are indeed hard to see and a bit small. Hope you had fun regardless of the flaws!
With a game this pretty, you get distracted from the flaws ;)
Awesome art and sounds! was it intentional to make dodging more effective than shooting? I do like that type of gameplay more though, so good on that.
Also amazing title
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it!
It wasn't our intention to make it that way, we just didn't had enough time to balance stuff, enemies have a bit too much HP.
Originally no, we wanted the juice part to consist of killing the enemies hence the screenshake and sound effects on kill but balancing caught us off guard haha. So now the first level is a bit of a dodging game. After beating the first level and acquiring your first upgrade the killing part should make a come back but that doesnt mean u can slack of on dodging :P
Actually you don't even need to dodge, just sit in the upper corner :)
Enjoyed this; found it rather soothing to just dodge bullets and go as far as I could, as I found it rather impossible to kill the enemies.
Sorry about that, balancing was kind of last minute (or, rather, last hour) :)
Glad I'm not the only one who finds bullet dodging soothing
:D yeah, balancing sadly always comes last for me as well. haha..
Very cool but very hard Shmup
I didn't get very far unfortunetly (but I might just be really bad at it)
In terms of feedbacks :
-The bullets are very small & hard to see (especially with the stars moving along in the background)
-The ennemies takes a lot of hits (too much ?) before dying.
-Moving up & down with the arrow keys make the webpage scroll up and down (adding a full screen button would solve that)
-I didn't find a reason to stop shooting, so maybe make it auto-fire instead ? (or maybe there's a good reason later in the game ? again I didn't manage to get really far :s)
-Adding some some small screen shake would make it feel a lot more juicy.
Appart from that, The visuals looks very neat. the movement & it looks like there's is a really good variety of ennemy & shoot patterns in there.
Good job !
Don't hesitate to ping me back if you happen to upload a playthrough video. I'll be happy to take a look to see more of the game ! :)
Thank you for your feedback! I designed the levels, so sorry that it was too difficult :)
No problem ;)
Again, I'm not a big shmup player and I might just be bad at it. :)
Thanks for the extensive feedback!
The arrow key scroll issue seems to only happen in Chrome. There is screenshake on killing enemies and they were meant to be more squishy, they die quickly however after u pick up your first upgrade. And yes we should have added auto fire haha.
The game is completely customizeable, it reads json files for the movement patterns and enemy generation so if u want to see more u can get the windows build and make it all a bit easier for yourself and even make your own waves :P
That's cool !
I'll definetly come back and try that :)
Cool! Good enemy variety and funny comments. Well done!
Thanks!
