Good effort with the time you had. Controller was very awkward, all the more so because you either move or aim, not both.

It could be turning into something cool- very unfinished though. The controls were kinda confusing and it was unclear if I was hitting the enemy or not, but I understand that's probably due to the time constraints

I liked the simple graphics style, and the sounds...

Others have mentioned some flaws, so I'll skip those except to say that in and of itself, not being able to move while shooting isn't necessarily a bad thing. It was the needing the "standard" jump key that made that bad, the aim being "enter" or using mouse-click-down to aim (stop move) and mouse-click-up to fire (move again), would be better.

Since you can fall off "inside the area" and live, I expected the same for the "outside" (even though that wouldn't be the normal expectation) and well, I was right, it doesn't kill you, instead, you just fall forever. Dying would have been nice.  ;-D

Even with the late start, you did make a playable game.  The choice of controls initially made the game difficult to get into...I would frequently try to jump with spacebar not W.  I think it would be more intuitive the aim with the mouse location, space to jump, mouse left button to shoot.

The sound of the gun firing is very satisfying and the artwork tiles gave the game a very nice appearance.  Great start for a platformer with a big gun.

I made the space-aim control as kind of a limitation, but while its interesting I dont think it was a good choice. Maybe in more even terrain-level where movement isnt as important. If I develop the game further the aiming is going away, normal click shoot.

Thanks! Maybe I´ll focus the game around oversized guns, we´ll see

I like the environment and colors! As Scriptopathe said, it's good that you managed to submit something even having little time to work on it.

As per feedback, I think it'd be nice if you could shoot without holding the aim button because of the nature of the game, in my opinion. Since enemies are killed after multiple hits, it'd be nice to be able to jump/evade while shooting.

Considering you did start late, it already good that you submitted something! :)
Hope you can have more time for your next jam!

Black and White Jam sounds interesting, I might try it as well!
