Great game! Really shows the potential of GDevelop for creating interesting and creative ideais. And this game has a lot of potential as a educational tool.

I only think that you could do more work on the pacing, and how to give information to players that don't know computer logic at all, but wants to learn. Congrats!

Could you try my game too? I would really apreciate it.

I'm planning to expand the game way more from what I was able to put together in the 2.5 days I had available.
Including more steady pacing, easier starting levels, more puzzles, more components, more of everything.
already done a huge update in the dev version waiting for the jam to end to publish it.

Keep posted for the updates later on ;)

Oooh this was so good!

The controls were intuitive, the levels were fun, setting up the wires had a nice stretch to it. I liked the mix of both specific and permissive levels, it led to a very "zen" mode of play, especially with the impeccable atmosphere and soundtrack. The neon + digital aesthetic ties it together. I could do this for hours.

I really wanted some of the puzzles in my game to be a bit more like this (especially with switching certain gates around) but I had so much trouble with interfacing between the wiring logic and the other mechanics that it became a secondary element to obfuscate the simple lever puzzles. I'm so glad another jam game explored the concept more thoroughly.

Fantastic! Bravo!

Thanks for the feedback and I'm really glad that you liked our game <3

There will be more coming up later on as I fell in love making the game and levels and I've got loads of ideas to continue adding more stuff and logics and game modes into it.

I'll have to play your game soon today <3

Good game. Could be a bit harder.

Developer(+1)

Nice that you liked it.
It will get harder and more versatile with all sorts of fun stuff added once the jam is over as I'm building more of the game already.

Once I studied electronics, your game brought back memories, but still you left me dead, it is my spirit that writes this comment.

Oh And although it has nothing to do with it, what a good intro they have.

Developer(+1)

Glad that the memories had been invoked.
I too studied electronics when I was younger.
That is why this game is such close to my heart <3

Good game but it is a bit complex. Well done!

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked our game.
It is a bit hard, had too little time to tune the difficulty ramp up since I was at it only a bit over 2 days.

But the post jam version is coming up nicely and will have a lot more things as well as more finely tuned difficulty ramping.

Your game shows potential with its unique concept, but there are areas that need improvement. Simplifying instructions and using captivating graphics could enhance player experience. Address these aspects to turn your game into a great and enjoyable experience.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your feedback.

The instructions are going for a total overhaul.
More graphical captivation are under works already.
And a lot is done already in the dev version but still plenty to do as well as my goal is to expand this with more game mechanics including clock chips, splitters more logics and transistors.

I still don't understand the tutorial...It did get easier the second time playing, however. (Sometimes it felt like I wasn't really trying to 'think' to beat the puzzle, I just basically connected everything and hoped it worked). Great ambience and music, rated well!

Developer

Glad you liked the game <3
The tutorial is for explaining the functionality of the logic gates where you could play with them and read the full description of the logic gates.
Cillian really excelled with the musics in my opinion as well.

Great game, I enjoyed it so much I beat it twice.  The second time through I speedran using the XAND gate.

I would have liked to see some reason for switches to be off as currently the switches are no different from live wires so by the end of the game switching them on is more of a chore than part of the puzzle.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Really glad you like the game <3
There was supposed to be a more profound condition on the switches that would've be a mixture of on/off combinations but I ran out of time to implement the idea in the 2 days time that I had available to make the game.

It just now dawned on me how I would've added more fun and reason to the switches that I will implement in after the jam.
You could not do the wiring with a live wire and you get shocked if you try :D
This is definitely coming to the game later. <3

Well this was really interesting approach to the theme, and you could for sure add some more elements other than logic gates, and a really nice touch on having levels written in binary

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing.
There will be more in the works later on, that's all I could make in the 2 days time I had available :D

Submitted(+1)

Well it’s great for 2 days then

Submitted(+2)

Great concept for a ON/OFF themed game, a really original idea too. I could see a more fleshed out version of this game being used to teach ametuer electricians! Great job :)

Developer(+2)

Thanks, glad you liked our game.
It is my intention to make it more fleshed out for beginner electricians to learn on logic gates and more as it is my (Rami) original profession.
There will definitely be more to come with more components and puzzles.

Submitted(+3)

My  little brother cried trying this.

Developer(+2)

I hope they were the tears of joy learning the basics of logic gates <3

you can hope
