- duuuuude! this game is awesome! its a really clever concept and pretty well executed. i liked how you have to give presents to ppl while dodging bullets critiqeue: its a bit awkward when you have to stop to give presents. i get it, santa has to take his time usually, but this is a battleground! itd be better if it was a quick drop off, or at the very least, the screen didnt stop when santa did. maybe i feel like there should be some more risk/reward going on with delivering the presents. perhaps santa could be able to deliver bit by bit, and doesnt have to do the house all in one stop. or maybe he can deliver presents but he has to drop his shield for 2 seconds or so to do so. theres a lot of possibilities here to choose from. AND THE BOSS BATTLE it was pretty simple, with only one attack pattern, but maaan, you make the most of it. its a super effective and climatic way to end the game, and its so flippin cool! not many jam games get an ending, let alone a whole boss battle! thats flippin awesome! overall a solid entry!
- Wonderful job! A solid shmup, and with a boss battle to boot. I couldn't fully understand what the hot chocolate was doing for me after the first few grabs, and I wish there were more enemies on screen at once at times. Great efforts!
- Excellent fully functional game. The difficulty curve was pretty relaxed while delivering the presents and then got very difficult at the boss, so needs some balancing. Fun, great sound effects, and everything looked made from scratch.
- The gameplay and functionality of the game were amazing. The game also had great aesthetic design (I loved the music and the snow) and was a lot of fun to play. You also definitely incorporated the theme, although I think this could easily be developed into a SHMUP all on its own. I wasn't able to beat the krampus but I had a great time!

This was pretty funny lol, I enjoyed the sound design and art. I think gameplay wise the the main game is maybe a bit slow and easy, 10 gifts to get to the boss feels like it takes a long time, especially if you die to Krampus 😅
Which is a shame cos Krampus is pretty fun and challenging!
I think stopping to deliver presents in the middle of a shmup is an interesting idea, but at most the only consequence for stopping was maybe 1 health. Maybe if the enemies had been more aggressive and you had to keep flying back to the house before it left your FOV?
I hope you guys develop it some more, it sounds like you have some ideas!
This is really fun! I love me some bullet hell! The controls were very straightforward, and the gameplay felt nice and responsive! If you ever expand on this, I would love to see more enemies that directly respond to the player or more complex bullet patterns.
This was pretty fun! I like how it stops moving but you can shoot while delivering presents, and the music and art works together quite well. The enemies are a little easy compared to the boss fight at the end, though. You can kind of just ignore the enemies for the most part and you'll never take enough damage to get even close to dying, but then the boss fight fires bullets so quickly that you'll die in seconds if you aren't careful. A pretty big difficulty spike, to say the least. Maybe some sort of way to heal during the boss fight, or multiple attack patterns might do the trick? Anyways, this was simple but fun!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Going in we wanted a much more robust system, more enemy types, different droppable items, but needed to simplify to make the deadline.
We hope to continue work on it and really test ourselves when improving it.
This is a really good game and runs well as well! I also really liked the artwork in the game and I think it all fits together very well.
Running the Linux version on Ubuntu 22.04 with an Evercade gamepad (which reports itself as Xbox 360 gamepad), the dpad works but no buttons are mapped :(
Otherwise it runs great! Nice one.
Thanks for letting me know! I tested it with a PS5 controller on PopOS, which is an Ubuntu/Debian derivative. I should get an Xbox controller to test with that too!
