i really like the way the cards scatter and build up and overlap with each progressive card draw it adds stakes and tension to an otherwise casual card game. the sound design is a lot of fun, i was bobbing my head very often. highlighting the playable cards was a nice touch. i wish there was a bit more wackiness/deviation from the original uno game, the fire in the hole card with its sound effect is a great start but i think it would be even better if you want crazier with it, maybe when you play this card there's also an exploding dynamite animation and all the green cards on the table auto play into the pile. or maybe keep things more laid back but add a unique card for blue, yellow, and red if thats more your style. overall, i enjoyed the simple clean artsyle, great soundtrack, lots of little polish throughout the game and basic gameplay loop. great entry!!

i could update the game once the voting ended

also do you know or play geometry dash or what

A complete, working and fun to play game! I giggle because of "Fire in the hole!" sound :D I add to the issues pointed out by Hey_Pixels below - many times I selected a card I didn't intend to - I intent to click on a card that is on top and somehow the one below is selected. Other than this, it's a very good game!

i repeat its the issue with the software i use

Submitted(+1)

This was a delight to play! My only issue is that sometimes when you try to click a highlighted/lit up card to place down, the game will actually select one or two of the cards below the card I was trying to click on instead, which was a little frustrating. Overall, I really like the concept and the game itself looks really solid!

Developer

thats an issue with the software i use, namely a kids program, exactly a mod of that program

Single player uno totally works! It's a really neat idea! Easy, fun and smooth to play! I think it'd be nice if there was some incentive to place cards or to shake the board up though. Otherwise you can just draw cards until you find a sequence of cards you can play that will get rid of your entire hand at once.

I played a really long time despite being angry every time i tried to pick up the card that was lit up and a card underneath it that wasn't lit up was what got grabbed lol. single player uno does totally work, fantastic job, i would def have this on my phone for a quick game you can pick up and put down really quickly

i like it! the concept of single player uno is not one i've ever seen before, and honestly could have a lot of potential. i could definitely see this going in a balatro-like route if you wanted to expand on the idea. also the soundtrack is 10/10.

y'know waterflame? just asking

Took me some time to figure out it's a single player version of Uno, but then it grew on me.

Things I liked

  • the game was challenging but fair
  • cute art style
  • epic music

Things that didn't sit well with me

  • the fact that it took a while before I understood what I needed to do (I used the comment section as a crutch). I would include at least a plain text tutorial for people that have not played Uno before
