Hey 👋 thanks a lot for the kind words and for playing the game

I’m glad the reaction I got from you was laughter and not a broken keyboard

Thanks for organising the jam and giving me the impulse to create the game!

thank you so much for the feedback and for taking the time to play and review the game!

Because there were several people telling me that the game is a bit too punishing (when missing jumps) I decided to re-do the level and make it more accessible, while still keeping it hard for people that need a challenge.

Will post an updated level probably at the end of the week. Thanks again for the imput!

Hey👋 Thank you for the kind words, it really means a lot to me.

I may actually make multiple levels and update the game in future cuz I really enjoyed working on it

thank you for the kind words and for taking the time to play and review it 😊

Thank you for the feedback and for taking the time to play the game!

Was there any specific part of the game that seemed too hard?

It took me some time to figure out that I need to equip items from the stats menu rather than going bare-fisted with the boss.

Things I liked

  • the atmosphere and art style
  • the stats menu was better than I would have expected from a gamejam game
  • the amount of work and soul put in the game
  • (biased bc Godot) the fact that you made a 3D game in godot

Things that didn't sit well with me

  • I almost gave up at some point because I did not understand how to equip items
  • (nitpick) it would have been nice to see a health bar for the boss
(1 edit)

The game was enjoyable. I got to the 3rd level, but then things started to get too hard, too fast.

Things I liked

  • the art style, though simplistic, is cohesive
  • the control schema was easy to pick up
  • the music was good

Things that didn't sit well with me

  • the difficulty curve spiked all of the sudden (the enemies pinned on me the second the level started)
  • I needed to search for myself when a level started which most of times resulted in me taking a lot of damage
  • once the white bar is full, there is no indication that the player has died (you can just deplete the health bar to 0 as a indicator)
  • (nitpick) I would have loved to play the game in the browser rather than having to download it locally

Got it. Thanks for the clarification.

Thank you for the feedback!

I received that feedback several times, and I'm thinking to add some friction with the wall so you have time to react rather than spamming. I may actually invest more time into the game and make 2-3 more levels.

Thank you so much for the feedback!

The barrels were indeed an after thought. But when you say they don't fit, you mean:
1. they don't look consistent with the rest of the pixel art or
2. they just appear out of nowhere and don't seem to contribute to the narrative

I have no words. This game genuinely put a smile on my face and gave me warm fuzzy feelings.

Things I liked

  • excellent usage of the constraints
  • fun premise and setting
  • easy to understand controls

Things that didn't sit well with me

  • the difficulty of the light level was a big spike out of the sudden
  • (nitpick) the Y-sort for trash cans is buggy

Took me some time to figure out it's a single player version of Uno, but then it grew on me.

Things I liked

  • the game was challenging but fair
  • cute art style
  • epic music

Things that didn't sit well with me

  • the fact that it took a while before I understood what I needed to do (I used the comment section as a crutch). I would include at least a plain text tutorial for people that have not played Uno before

You guys did a awesome job on working around the restrictions of the theme.

Things I liked

  • the art style
  • the music
  • the control schema is easy to pick-up

Things that didn't sit well with me

  • it happened that I got soft locked two times by accidentally shooting at the wrong rock. There should either be a reset button or the map should reset once the character has left the viewport for more than X-seconds.

It was a fun little game that made me reminisce of the times flash games were a thing.

Things I liked

  • had that old nostalgia feeling
  • good usage of the randomly generated theme
  • has a lot of personality

Things that didn't sit well with me

  • it got repetitive really fast
  • there is no end-game

A interesting concept, though a bit confusing at first, I thing I got the hang of it after a few runs. It would have helped if there were any instructions on:

  • what are the controls and
  • how you know which platform is going to grow next

It feels a bit iffy that you uploaded a game that you built for another game jam.

A fun and challenging short game.

Things I liked

  • I liked the story at the begging, though a bit confusing
  • I like that the game doesn't take itself too serious

Things that didn't sit well with me

  • it was not clear that I could move, until I saw the highscores in the comments, which made me thing that maybe I'm doing something wrong
  • the enemies are a bit too overwhelming from the get go. I would make their amount increase over time and start with a smaller number

I did not manage to understand how the game should be played even with the instructions 😔

I ended up playing the game twice. First time I lost because I tried to cheat my way to the finish line. Second time I actually got all checkpoints.

Things I liked

  • the AI felt challenging enough, but not unfair
  • good choice for background music

Things that didn't sit well with me

  • I should be punished more for going off-road (greater speed decrease)
  • I would have liked the music level be a bit lower or have a way to decrease the volume

🤣🤣🤣 glad you liked the game. So wished I was there to see your reaction and maybe figure out how to make it better 🥲
