Loved the action arcade vibes! Great work!
It was a lot of fun <3

Thank you!
I couldn't stop thinking about Legends of the Hidden Temple while playing Microvania.

Submitted(+1)

That was fun, awesome idea! 👍
Wish I could've used a gamepad to play, that would've made it even more enjoyable :)

Stay funky,
Dez

Developer(+1)

That's my secret, Captain. I'm always funky.
Thanks for playing!

Love the idea, really had fun playing, great game! The controls are a bit hard to get used to though, maybe if the turn speed was quicker it would feel better.

Developer

Thanks for playing! We'll see what we can do about movement post-jam.

The control scheme and so the mechanics is clever but it took me some tries and fails to get use to it. Which is by the way not negative. It feels kind of rewarding to beat each wave, and this makes this game great. So yeah, I enjoyed to play this game. Very well done :)

Glad you liked it. Thanks for playing!

Well done, I'll never take my second stick for granted again! Great use of an economical art style. Very easy to understand and fun to play. I started playing with keyboard but I had to get my controller out. Snappier rotation (I think you have too much smoothing) and/or spread on the bullet bursts could help with aiming. The enemies tend to clump up a bit which is cool, but I think some more interesting AI behaviours could deepen the strategy.

Developer(+1)

No.

Developer

Sorry, couldn't resist :p
We'll work on movement and AI post-jam. Didn't thought of the smoothing, I'll definitely take a look at it.
Thanks for playing and your feedback!

Great game! The concept of only being able to either shoot or move seems like something Mark would really love. I hope this game makes it into the top 100

Developer (1 edit)

So glad you like it! I still can't recover from the shock your game gave me.

I really enjoyed the aesthetic of the game! Nice to pick up and play, creative take on the theme too! Only complaint is the controls on KBM. I can definitely see this being super fun on a gamepad, but it would be great if it was just as accessible to KBM users as well, I think this could be accomplished by mouse controls rather than using the keyboard. Good execution otherwise! Great job!

Xbox Gamepads are supported. Currently we're having issues with PS4 ones.
Edit: We'll do Mouse movement prototypes post-jam. Thanks for playing and your feedback!

I know this is a simple thing to get hung up on but I loved the health/damage being tied to the screen background color. Great concept and execution. Well done!

Thanks for playing! Many people on the comments think the same.

Perfect use of the theme, and more original than all those "one-bullet" shooters. Damn, even the behaviour of the enemies is interesting. (werewolves are my nightmare, now, because of you)
I absolutely loved it.

Maybe you should let the player know how many HP they have beforehand, though? I like the way it's displayed by changing the background color, but in my first play, I was pretty confused not knowing how many times I could be hit. (or was it indicated but I missed it?)

Anyway, this is a very great job, and you've earned a full score from me.

Developer

Thank you for playing! No, it's not shown to the player until they get hit. I may flash the colors from red to blue when the game starts, but I think that might be even more confusing. Other thing that could be done is that the letter (which in reality is a sprite) may change a bit, all cracked up when it's about to die.

Submitted

Yeah, the letters crackling up would definitely be a nice touch!

Great shooter! Love the health feedbacks. Remember me of the game Archero (mobile).

Developer

Oh! I didn't know about that one. I'll check it out. Thanks for the tip, and for playing!
