I like your game! The jumping and gunplay is fun.
But it can get frustrating, if an enemy falls onto your head. An indicator would be cool, to show enemies that are about to enter the screen.

Developer

Thanks, I am working on an update to fix it so it will tell you when an enemy is going to spawn. Thanks again for the feedback 👍

Nice! Works like a charm!

It's like Super Crate Box and that's a good thing, fast action and it's controls well. Btw I think shooting enemies while they are in the air should give you more points as they are harder to hit.

Developer

I agree, I really like to snipe them in the air. Thank you for the feedback. I haven't seen Super Crate Box in a long time, kinda funny how I accidentally recreated their game, with a couple of different features.

It's simple but I like this, it makes me feel good, it's so addictive, art is simple but it's good for this kind of game, perfect music! so original, it reminds me of Mario Arcade

That's a super cool take on the "one bullet" idea! The game isn't too simple, but it's still hard enough to be challenging and fun. Great job!

thank you for the feedback 👍

I've played some "one-bullet" games, but the idea of randomizing ammo's position is unique, and sets it apart. Nice job! Check our game: https://cerosware.itch.io/one-stick-shooter

thanks for the feedback, I will check it out

This gives me a original Mario Bros vibe, but with a gun. LOVE IT! The character feels good to move, shots are weighty, and i love the little trail he leaves behind! Would enjoy seeing the game get some more enemies and levels! Nice execution!

Would love if you could check mine out too! Or not, no pressure ;) https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/462672?after=20#post-876644

Very nice game, the only thing that i think you could do better is that the jumping sometimes could feel a little un responsive, but there is a lot of potential

I was thinking about expanding upon it in the future, I am going to send out an update when the jam is over to fix some bugs.

Could be more fleshed out.  Larger arena or varied enemy types.

Developer(+1)

I tried to keep the game simple I didn't have much time for this jam, but I might update it.

I'd like to play this game in bigger maze.

Very stylist game, controls are easy to use. But contet is shallow. I like that

The game plays well. My only complaints are that it's hard to tell when a new enemy will appear on screen and that in the second area moving off screen at any elevation will always put you on the bottom platform.

Developer

I need to make it so it shows the player where an enemy is going to spawn. Thanks for the feedback.

Cool game. well polished and would make a cool mobile game. Sounds and animations give the game a decent amount of juice.

I like this. It feels polished, each level is small and short. I played it on browser and became a little repetitive but I see you have an android version. I think this would work wonderfully as a mobile game with new guns, levels, enemies etc.

Developer

yeah, it's simple enough it would perform well as a mobile game. Thanks for the feedback.

I find this game dynamic and very pleasant to play. It would be nice to add other environments later if you continue to develop the game. Well done !

Developer(+1)

yeah different environments would make the game's levels more memorable thanks for the feedback

just made an account to make a suggestion to the developer, did you try using a shotgun?, what i mean is to add range damage to shots in order to make the player think more on the moment they are gonna shoot, plus add a bit of randomness on the drop rate of ammo (something like 1-3 sec) to drive the player on more of a survival tactic during that time (honestly the movement and maps allows this to be fun specially if you are not killing enemys)

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback, we will see what I add for the next update.

I mean it is well polished for what it is but what it is is a small plat former where you shoot then pick up another bullet then repeat. Not that it isn't entertaining but its not something special and not any different from other games that are actually released on for example mobile. What I'm basically saying is that there isn't any depth. You probably could pick it up then drop it in 30 seconds because it just doesn't have much. The idea was also stated by the GMTK in his vid. The game didn't built off this limit but instead just limited itself.

Developer

I stayed a little too safe this game jam, I needed to make a game fast because I was going to be busy right before the game jam ended so I tried to come up with an idea fast. But I agree my next game jam I need to come up with more unique ideas. Thank you for the feedback.
