Decent little game, seen a few other GameJam games using 1 sprite to create the entire game. Still pretty solid.

Developer

Thanks for the comment!

Ahah we had the same idea of character jump animation :D It's completely wtf but I like it, it's fun ! The character controls are very good. The sounds are strange but participate in the wtf side of the game. I like the interaction with other characters who are actually myself o_o Good job :)

The idea is really cool hahahah. You solvented the problem of only use one sprite really well!

Nice work!

lmao what on earth was that?! I've played a few one sprite games but not one that actually used the player sprite haha. For some reason the whole game made me laugh, not sure if you were going for that or not but - it was good! No real complaints apart from some of the text was too wide for the screen, so not a major complaint. Really well done!

Developer

Your comment made me happy :D Thank you!

What an interesting experience!  Got very trippy very fast!

Sometimes the spinning/stretched sprites made it all a bit hard to play,  Visual clarity is important! Amazing that you got so much atmosphere from 1 sprite!

I'd love to see a few of the platforming nuances Mark mentioned in the last GMTK vid implemented to this game, just to make the process of traversing the world you have created a more player friendly experience.

Last note, I tried to leave as many of the "baddies" alive as I could, but I don't think that ended up reflected anywhere.  Might have been a nice nuance, to reflect player choices, especially after calling it out in the mid game.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to give me feedback, it means a lot! Most of what you said makes sense and would make the game better. The spinning/stretched of the bullets was fun to see but as it makes the bullets harder to see (as you say), maybe it's not woprth having it in. The alternative ending is a great idea! Thanks once again.

The game is hard, nonsense and very funny. I know that has a story (that makes sense) but I couldn't felt a coherent story.

Although the motion controls are intuitive, I couldn't find instructions.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your feedback. I will work on a intuitive way to explaind the controls, because some people might need it.

I can't get pass the first level where you have to shoot at the first bunch of enemies!
But I LOVE how you made this game, the sound effects are great and the fact you used one sprite for everything was hilarious as well, great job! I really mean it. Good luck and congratulations for making this game in 48 hours! x

Check out our game if you haven't I would really appreciate it!

Thanks for your comment, I really apreciated it!

And yes, I did play your game and rated it, but I forgot to comment. So I just commented it now, because you deserve the comment. Your game is amazing and I would love if you expanded your idea beyond the jam!

I liked the idea of only using one image file throughout the whole game. It's also fun to play, just maybe put in a hint somewhere to use your mouse to shoot.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I thought that shooting using the mouse was already intuitive enough, but I guess adding a hint so that you know that you can use the mouse to shoot is not a bad idea. Thanks for playing!

Nice work with using only one sprite. I loved the jump sound effect.

Developer

Thank you for the comment!

More "One" than this I think is impossible XD.

Very interesting game, after finishing it I don't want to criticize its negative sides, because I destroyed everything that is negative in me, yuppie!

Congratulations.

Your comment legit made me laugh! Thank you so much for your kind words, you just made my day better :D

Only one sprite (!) but used so well, if a little disturbingly! I wondered at the end if there was an alternative path, just before the Revelation Room. Controls need a little polishing, along with collision boxes, but an interesting idea, thanks

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! Never thought much about the controls, but seems I might have to work a little bit on that department. Also, it would have been a good idea to add some sort of indicator when ou hit the enemy (like him flashing or something).

Once again. Thank you !
