Very cool idea, and the lackluster presentation is not too much trouble (although having each gender on a different row would be a godsend!

The real problem is the bug: Any stat revealed for one of the 10 specimens will also be revealed for free in all future rounds. So by my 3rd round all stats were known from the start and then the game just becomes a spreadsheet simulator.

HOWEVER, fix that, add some sprites for the different species and maybe some background music, and you have an excellent puzzle game. Is it procedurally generated, or are all the rounds fixed?

Thank you very much for taking your time to provide feedback! It is much appreciated <3

The bug was a total novice mistake; I was the only play-tester and knowing what to do with ins-and-outs that bug dodged me throughout the weekend. For the future projects, I'll be sure to share the project with some play-testers(friends) for sure and no matter how simplistic the game logic is, will focus more on my code structure. If my code was not such a mess, I would surely notice the inconsistent behaviour.

It's wonderful that you "saw" what I was trying to do and liked it! After a couple of weeks I really want to re-handle this project from ground-zero to see what can be improved, and there were some things that I wanted to implement but cut back due to the time limit.

And to finally answer your question, everything -including the race and specimen names, and of course their stats- are procedurally generated, In theory game continues infinitely.

Enjoyable especially if you are a sit down and think about it kind of person! I like that its turn based as well. I can't tell if its a glitch or a feature but before the end of each round I kept accidentally selecting an alien to be in the control group and then I selected them again to be yeeted. in the next round it would show me way more than the single selected body temp, blood pressure, etc selected and it would show me on almost all of the aliens stats. Other than that the game was very chill and enjoyable.

It looks like it'll be really fun in a boring kind of way, I couldn't figure it out though. It's definetly original however

I am one of the weirdos who like analyzing statistics, so this was a great game for me, thank you!

Hey,

Thank you very much for taking your time to give some feedback <3

Now that's a compliment that I can get behind, I was afraid that the gameplay experience was too close to an excel sheet, but - of course - this aspect may rock some boats as well :D

Good idea, but how many turn you need depends on luck mostly. Second thing is to make game more clear I would indicate gender by colors instead of letters.

Well, coloring the genders were too hot of a topic for me to handle, I even stayed away from naming them as "F" or "M" :D

But you are absolutely right, colors could be randomized as well among themselves to stay neutral.

Good idea but it took me a little bit of time to figure out wtf I was doing, ofc though 48 hours is barely enough time to make a game let alone a good tutorial

Developer

Thank you  very much for the feedback!

It was difficult to put things into words in the tutorial, I had nothing to do but top it off with a quick prayer for J to take the wheels of my players :D

Definitely going to check your Jam!

This game was quite neat. It felt a bit like a guessing game at times, but it was still pretty fun. Good job!

Yes, It was very difficult to fidget the numbers enough so that the ill is not instantly recognizeable, but at current state - if it pleases the RNG gods - I believe some healthy specimen can have worse vital signs than the ill one.

It is presented nicely and felt good to find the infected. My one critique is that it felt like I was guessing a lot of the time tho even after a few plays. Good job on your first time sharing your work!
