How does your game fit the theme?
I've taken away any movement control from the player, so that he has to rely on his weapons recoil to move around and kill enemies both.

i love how smooth this ran and the appearance is great! it was really fun o:
Really smooth gameplay and quite fun to play. I liked several decisions: the values for gravitiy and movement of the player are nicely adjusted, the life recovery by not being hit and the 3 different types of weapons (a.k.a. three different types of weapons). I killed the final boss, but I only got a "Not bad" as a reward…
Not bad is all you get for a jam version, don't get cocky ;)
hahaha!
The idea is not really original but the gameplay is really smooth, the game is a pleasure to play, good job !
Very fun to play!
It's really well made but typical shoot to move game, but what really makes this game so amazing is it's style and this dope music, I could listen to it forever. Nice touch with diferent types of wepons. I'd love to see it as a full game, and it would be really great as a mobile game. Amazing work!
I'm actually planning on turning it into a full fledged mobile game (with tons of tweaks on the way of course) so stay tuned, mayby you'll see it in a store one day!
Can't wait and good Luck!
So Coll you really did a good job
love the graphics!
Only for me it was bit hard i wasnt able to beat the boss :DD
I really like the vibe of the game, the music really helps sell the title of "Cheerful." Was fun and felt good to move around, and the different shots were cool to mess around with. Nice!
Amazing movin mechanics, very fun to play around. Didn't found much use for the different bullet types, as they only moved you a little bit, and this is no game of presission. That the walls kill all your momentum is a bit of a flow stopper, but not to much of a joy killer. I think the boss fight was a bit to long. Maybe reducing the big cubes health by a third would have made the ending a bit less tedious. Still amazing game!
A fun little shoot to move title! I especially liked the addition of the different weapons and the different amounts of movement they provided and found myself switching between them quite often
them : another shoot to move
me: GAME IS A GAME! gg mate
The classic shoot-to-move meme returns. I think the art was suitable but the music didn't fit it so much. I didnt know how much health my player had and when I beat the boss the game just took me to the same menu as when you die, so that was a bit confusing. Level design was fun and intuitive and the boss felt a little OP given how hard it is to hit it, but in a good sort of way.
So shoot-to-move is just a meme now for GMTK jams isn't it?
Anyway, this was probably the most fun version of that I've seen, and the music fit really well! I didn't realize I could switch weapons until I got to the boss fight the first time, so I did another run using all three weapons, but I still think the shotgun is the most fun by far.
This was well executed and fun to play! While I've seen this mechanic before, shooting to move, I think this is the first I've seen where youre able to swap weapons to different effects. Nicely done!
This was madness haha I love it
Could use some more visual eye candy to make it more exciting but overall it was really good :D
Fun! Let's see how Mark will react to another shoot to move!
Oof
Such a fun and creative game!
Thanks a lot! There's quite a bit of a chance that I'll be developing it further on mobile and/or pc.
