i like it, it scrambles the player's control without taking away the fun.

How does your game fit the theme?
If you get hit, your controls randomly swap places, meaning you have to readjust to a new layout everytime you get hit. The only way to win is to maintain focus and composure, and not lose control.

The UI was very cool looking! nice sound and graphics too. Great job submitting to the jam, and I hope you learned a lot of new things! If you have time, please check out my entry :D
5 stars!
The art looks so clean.
I thought the feeback loop/death spiral when you start getting hit was funny!
Had fun playing this! I liked how everything feels fine until you get hit once and then you start panicking looking for the correct buttons.
Really enjoy the control switching, large obvious buttons are great too. You don't get frustrated trying to search for tiny icons, Once I learnt the icons eveerything was clear.
I liked this version of the switching controls the best out of all the games I played in the jam. I found control switching on a timer irritating but your version of switching controls when you get hit makes avoiding the bullets more important than just losing health. Also, I really like the layout and look of everything!
I've actually gotten mixed feedback about not having the control switching on a timer, some people have liked it and others thought it wasnt chaotic enough. My initial thought was pretty much exactly what you stated, I didnt want to punish the player with randomness, but either way, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for playing!
Very fun game, I loved the way that you introduced the theme.
The only thing that I had a problem with and it is very small is that it took me some time to see that there are two more small buttons at the bottom. It made me think that I only have a set of the controls at any given time and that I need to take damage in order to get new sets of commands.
Anyway, great game, I had a lot of fun playing it, thank you!
I definitely agree. If there was one thing I would do different it would probably be to make those buttons larger. My initial thought was that it would contribute to a more chaotic feel to have different sized buttons, but after playing it I realized I actually ended up ignoring the smaller ones more often than not, because of their size. Anyway thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Game is very fun and unique to me. Performing different actions and deciding what to prioritize, fuel / bullets / evading etc. is really fun and challenging.
The game was fun! I'm not sure if the theme of "Out of Control" was implemented well enough, though. On my third playthrough, I was able to beat the game without getting hit, so I never encountered the out of control element of your game. Maybe if the controls swapping was on a timer, every player would be guaranteed to encounter your out of control element. I found your game to be really fun and original, but I think you missed the mark on the theme.
I had a system going where I pretty much just bounced between the same buttons in a pattern for the whole game. If you had some kind of high score system or global leaderboards, I would be more inclined to innovate on my strategy and try to find faster wasy to win.
