This is so cool! I like the concept a lot! Also well executed. I'm a sucker for card games so I was happy this one contained cards. It's kinda hard to win though, which is actually really good! You have to plan ahead how to use your action points. At first I thought I could spam one action all the time untill a curse destroys all of your cows suddenly. Really cool game guys! Good job! :)

Really impressed by this game. I think you have managed to squeeze a lot of interesting ideas into this game. I think maybe the game play needs a bit of tweaking when it comes to pacing, or maybe I am just not patient enough. Overall, great work, I am really impressed!

Developer

Yeah, the balance definitely needs some work. The RNG regarding the wilderness deck is what I've gotten the most feedback on by far, so I definitely agree that some changes to that are in order.

The concept was fun and interesting. I liked how the werewolf phase got slowly worse for you. I felt like the RNG screwed me on my playthrough. I went through like 3 days in a row without finding a single sheep for my animal pen.

Developer

Yep, the wilderness deck RNG can get pretty bad; you're not the first person to have that experience by far. I think either being able to influence the likelihoods in that deck or having separate decks for animals, plants, and ores would improve the game in that regard.

I really liked how I was indirectly affecting how me in wolf form  would act and attack it is quite a undertaking to manage all those resources and keep my hunger at bay. Overall I enjoyed it :P its quite relaxing with the music great choice. ALSO the animated wolf really adds to the experience :P

Really nice game you made. It's quite fun to map out which ingredients to gather to move forward with the crafting assignments. Having the were-wolf gain turns as you lose them also really puts pressure on you to prevent him from drawing cards or protecting your stuff. Great job!

This is amazingly detailed for 48 hours.   It's a really cool concept and well layed out interface.   I spent a lot of time in this game and I feel I had some really bad RNG which caused one game to end very fast and another drag on forever.   Once we are able to post changes to our games I would suggest a lot of playtesting and tweaking the cards and initial spawn rates to see what it takes to put playtime in that sweet spot where it's fun but not overwhelming.    Amazing concept and implementation.  Great work.

Very good work! The wolf makes the game the theme. I find the game a bit easy or I'm the one who is not understood when the game ends.

Otherwise the game is very well done and well executed :)

As one of two card games I've seen all Jam this really stuck out for me. You've done a really great job here. The game has alot of depth for a Jam game and the wolf is a nice take on the theme, that fits really well into the game narrative.

The tutorial is a bit difficult to digest, but I mostly got to grips with it and as with most jam games there are a few balance issues but I these can easily be ironed out post jam.

Really awesome submission, I hope you do well :) Good luck!

wow, this is an incredible creation! i typically don't like card games, but this is very creative and fun. sometimes feels a bit RNG heavy, but that's how card games can go. i was surprised how quickly i picked up on how the game worked after your tutorial. this is a fantastic entry, great job!

All the different types of cards, actions and crafting seem so well thought out, I'm surprised you made this in such a short time! Although I watched the tutorial, I didn't really understand all of them, such as the injury cards.

It's cool to see a such a slow-paced strategy game that still fits the theme! Good job

All this in 48 hours, Wow so impressive! Great job on everything really, most unique card game I played in the game by far!

This game looks pretty much finished already! Nice job on creating such a polished game in 48 hrs!

The concept is fun and unique!

Great Job!

I have no idea how you had this much gameplay in 48h worth of work but it was awesome! There was even a tutorial!!! A fun concept, I'd love to see more and I am going to have to keep playing until I win

Though there were many card game entries for this jam, yours was very interesting! Btw, I love the card icons!

Wasn't expecting to see a card game with crafting in it for this jam! Nicely done :)

This game is packed with contents. Fun and unique card game. A lot of strategies involved but it all came down with RNG :(. My main strategy was pretty much pray for iron or silver to craft the shackles which were OP. The aesthetic and music fitted well together. The UI/UX were very responsive and polished. The wolf animation seem a bit long at the time, which slow the game down a bit. Maybe a skip would be nice.

Overall, this is solid game. Great job!

There's so much content in this game for a 48 hour jam! Maybe too much? This is a really cool take on the theme and I really love the gameplay.

It took me a while to get into the game. The tutorial is really helpful but is ultimately a big wall of text. I feel like even after playing for 15 minutes there's probably quite a few things I'm missing in the game.
The visuals in the game really grabbed me though and I love that the game goes into third person as the wolf attacks.

Overall, this is a really interesting submission that I think deserves a lot more attention.

This is a really neat game! It needs some polish but I could definitely see myself playing a post-jam version of this!

This was more fun than I expected! Very clever mechanics that made for some interesting tradeoff decisions! I would definitely play this as a tabletop card game

Really cool and fun game! Needs more juice I think. I also have no idea what injuries do even though I finished game.

Developer

Thanks for playing! If you're curious, drawing an injury is basically just a lost turn. Every time you encounter a dangerous animal, a new injury is added to the wilderness deck permanently, so foraging gets less effective. By playing an oinment card, you can remove all the injuries to restore the efficiency of the wilderness deck.
