How does your game fit the theme?
Two ways: 1) Since the controls also controls themselves, the player needs to constantly keep track of where the controls is, otherwise they would be literally "out of control", 2) Moving too close to the edge can temporarily remove the ability to walk in a certain direction because the control keys are out of bound, so you will be out of control temporary

Had a rough time fully grasping how the movement worked (didn't think you could move against the wall to displace the layout), but it's a really cool idea & execution - twists your brain. Wish that the controls were in a + shape instead of a triangle, felt a bit weird for keys to go from being left or right to being down. Either way it's a really solid submission!

Great idea for a puzzle game! I was skeptical on it potentially being just a  gimmick until I realized that the keys can end up OUTSIDE the keyboard and you won't be able to click them anymore. Building the puzzles around that and trying to rig it so that your keys are available when you need them is neat!

I would personally definitely recommend some sort of UI that tells me what the current mapping of my keys are and also mark any that are currently out of bounds. It can be somewhat confusing to keep track mentally of where the mapping has currently gone to.

I liked the idea a lot! I didn't quite have the patience to keep playing too long but will be coming back over the next few days. It was really cool getting to use the walls to unlock more of your keyboard to move further. Awesome job :D

Wow! That took me a minute to really understand what was happening here, but I really love how the puzzle is the interaction with the game and not the game itself.

This is really, really clever. When it finally clicked that I could walk into walls to shift the keys around without moving, it made me feel smart for figuring it out, something that's really important in a good puzzle game.

A small UI tweak I might make is to have the grid and your current location on it visible somehow. It's easy to get lost by wandering into walls, especially since without an ortholinear keyboard things don't quite line up like they're supposed to.

The minimalist aesthetic works great here, allowing the player (and I imagine you as a creator) to focus on the levels themselves. Very good work.

This one of the most original mechanics I've ever seen!

Pretty neat. I struggle quite a bit with finding the right keys since the rows don't line up like on an actually keyboard, so I'm glad you had the screenshot of the grid keyboard visible on the page, because I kept using that as I guide so I didn't get confused.

Nice idea! Like that you need to keep a mental model of where the inputs are in order to make sure you won't run out of space.

Really unique concept! Love the puzzles too. Great work :)

I really like this. A really basic concept turned into a fully realized game. It took me a few seconds to piece everything together, but when I did I really enjoyed the novelty of the experience. Very well done, I had fun :)

Wow. I'm amazed by how something this 'simple' can work out to be something this great! Love the idea, the simple aesthetics (that serve the game very well) and it's hard as hell. You really need to track what way you moved and reposition your hand.

And I just can't even beat level 3 ...

Super fun! Very clever!

Woow, I didn't expect that huge amount of interesting puzzles that are arouse, I would do a post jam version with small highlighted keyboard showing where is my movement buttons because my brain right now sometimes completely forget where I was and try different stuff.

Overall, simple but incredible.

This is a crazy idea! I love it though, haven't seen anything like it before. You really have to focus to stay in control, and sometimes you have to plan ahead to move the controls to a suitable location so you don't run off the edge of the keyboard. Great concept!

I do wonder if it works with foreign keyboard layouts, where the keys are in different places...

Developer

It doesn't work with other keyboard layouts, that's an oversight on my part and I apologies for that

It's probably OK to have that in a Games Jam game... Unless you happen to be French I guess! I don't even know how you'd fix it for a different layout. I'd assume if you were doing this as a real commercial game you'd end up with a massive collections of keyboards from around the world. I don't think Unity gives you a positional API for keys.

Very creative idea! I made it to level 3, I couldn't figure out how to move to the left when you're next to the flag. I would like some kind of indication what the current keys are. At the moment, you have to restart the entire level if you loose track.

Ooh god too hard, my brain doesn't function after game jam :D Well designed!
