How does your game fit the theme?
Two ways: 1) Since the controls also controls themselves, the player needs to constantly keep track of where the controls is, otherwise they would be literally "out of control", 2) Moving too close to the edge can temporarily remove the ability to walk in a certain direction because the control keys are out of bound, so you will be out of control temporary

Like I said I love the concept and the only improvement would be having a menu button to be able to remind the player where they are on their keyboard (Maybe only allow for easily mode). Other than that, I would love see where this idea goes further!

This is a really cool and unique concept! I especially loved the parts where you had to go across your keyboard to make room for future moves.  This is the only fun and interesting version of 'changing the wasd keys' I have seen. Well done.

The controlls didn't work for me :/ but the concept seemd nice

Are you using AZERTY keyboard? I plan to add support for that in the post-mortem, for now, sorry bout that.

Submitted

No, QWERTZ. But that wasn't the problem. I couldn't walk down. No matter which key I pressed. Sry...

Really cool game concept :D
I liked it :D

Interesting take on the theme, like the simple art and audio style keeps everything focused on the hard controls

Certainly one of the better adaptations of the input manipulation games in this jam. It's a simple maze game with an excellent twist that upgrades it into an entertaining puzzle game. The minimalist visual style is actually really pleasant -- it feels a bit like solving a crossword puzzle with my keyboard. And I love that it's named "Okay." Because that's exactly what you say to yourself as you stare at the keyboard trying to figure out where the next input just went.

A very clever idea for a game. It does the "controls change every turn" thing in a way that isn't obnoxious! It's a very slow and methodical, but fun, challenge!

Such a clever puzzle game. The player has no choice but to think about every button they press, and as a result, when each level is eventually solved, it is intensely satisfying.  Great work.

Well done, very original idea. It got a bit tedious at times, but I enjoyed it overall. Only figured out the numbers are also usable in the beginning of the last level, never had to use them before.

I really enjoyed this one! Playing this one in the morning meant my brain was really ready for the rest if the day :D. This is the best take on "swap your controls" from all the games that I played. This time it's not random, but you have to really think about how to swap your controls to solve the puzzles. At one point I even heard Mark's voice in my head talking about puzzle catches and assumptions. Although minimalistic, very well made.

A very neat idea. It would be cool if maybe some time after pressing a key, it showed what the current movement keys are incase someone gets lost.

This is one of the coolest puzzle games I've played in a long time. I love the way you made use of the space of the keyboard -- your level design is impeccable, not a wasted pixel. When I realized the trick to getting more space to move down (on level 3) I think, I felt like the cleverest guy.

You've made a wonderful little box of A-HA! moments here. I'd love to see what else you can come up with using these kinds of mechanics. Well done!

Simple but effective. The option of getting stuck running out of keyboard keys seems a bit counter-intuitive, so I suppose you could smoothen that out a bit still.

Submitted

Arghh that's so hard, and so clever! Really interesting take on the "input-related" game designs out there.

Submitted

Definitely out of control and in a good way!  I like how there is some strategy in changing the controls by hitting the wall. I did get a bit lost sometimes because I'm just dumb in remembering the last key I pressed.  I think music to spice up the mood would've made this game better!

What a wonderfully original idea. This game makes you interact with controls in a completely new way, turning your own physical keyboard into a puzzle. I love playing this game.

Submitted

Very cool! It was a good feeling to realise that I must adjust to a new way of control, which was honestly fun. I liked how the problem of going "out of bounds" solves itself since the only key that remains is one to pull you back in. A cool little snack for the brain :)

Submitted

Very interesting game idea. I found it a little hard to remember what keys to use. Some kind of help would be nice but besides that great game.

Submitted

I like the idea for this! Agreeing to a previous comment, I think it would be a lot nicer if I knew what area of the keyboard I was one, maybe since there is a keyboard icon, you can light up/colour the keys you are currently on? But then again,  it add to the difficulty if you dont, so if thats what you are going for, thats totally fine too

Cool game! :)
