How does your game fit the theme?
Robots have a certain range in which they can be controlled, and the puzzles often require you to leave those bounds and let them drive out of control

Found it fun to play and how you could switch between robots having the possibility to use reset as away to mess with the other options potential is there for a good game
Really cool concept! My only issue was one bug that would require a complete restart, someone else posted a video with it so I wont linger on it. A really interesting puzzle concept executed well is all I can really say. great work!
You have a really strong core-mechanic for a puzzle game here! After the jam, I'd love to play this with some more levels and more sound effects added (some HVAC drones can go a long way to set the mood).
Great job over all!
Outside of one game braking bug that I found in the video, I thought it was a fantastic little puzzle game!!
Thanks for playing! The video doesn't seem to be working for me though.
Ok the video is up now!!!
Cool, I just watched it. Thanks for the review. Sorry about those bugs. I know the problem, and it'll be an easy fix once the submissions are unlocked.
I know... My game suffers from the same issues...
Very nice, clean execution of a genius interpretation of the theme. Well done!
Love the puzzle mechanics, that's a really clever take on the theme. The game looks nice and clean, feels fluid, and the robot sound feels strangely satisfying. My only gripe with the game is the bug you mentioned in the comments. Good job :)
IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ BEFORE PLAYING! Some others have found a game-breaking bug that makes you lose control permanently, and resetting the stage won't fix it . To avoid this, do not take control of a transmitter if that transmitter does not already have any robots in range. Sorry about the bug. I'll get it fixed as soon as the submissions are unlocked.
Very cool concept, especially the recursion part.
Unfortunately at that 2-layer robot (the 2nd time I pressed X), I got stuck and couldn't move/interact anymore. Even R just reset the scene, but all other keys didn't work. Could be that it reset the first layer robot, but camera stayed centered on the 2nd, so I did move but not see it...
Nevertheless a nice idea, great artstyle and also quite a bit of content for a jam :)
I found the problem (and made another comment about it). It has to do with a combination of two bugs. I'm not resetting correctly and undoing the controlling of other transmitters, and I'm not correctly handling taking control of a transmitter when it currently has no robots in range. So to avoid it, you have to make sure you don't start controlling a transmitter until a robot is in range.
Good to hear it's just a little bug! Who knows, often jam games are developed further after submission :)
Really interesting mechanics, after a while you start thinking, now you control a robot that control an other robot that controls an other robot... My brain is poof
A nifty little puzzle game, with an interesting twist! Played until the puzzle at 2:10 on your video, but I went straight for the control unit and got stuck xD
I’d like to see more of this game, maybe with some time for additional audio/UI polish and a slightly more obedient camera :)
Thanks for playing!
Stuck like the game broke and couldn't be reset, or you just couldn't figure out the puzzle? Because starting control of a transmitter with no robots in range should allow you to control no robots until you exit with C or reset, but others are reporting a bug that I still need to look into.
Yeah, stuck as in the game broke (not froze, as I could still open the instructions), but definitely a bug and not lack of interest in continuing.
I’ll be on the discord for a little while longer if you want me to repro the bug?
cool man, the idea is so awesome and the graphics look really nice for the time you had, but sadly I got a glitch that just made the game not respond to my clicks so I had to restart the hall thing, and I think some post processing and music wold have went a far way in making it fell more polished, but really great work, I was impressed :D
really cool game, the art fits well, and the sound isn't too loud or jarring either
For the people getting stuck on some of the puzzles and want the solution spoiled, I recorded a full walkthrough.
Well executed concept, a bit buggy at times but still fun to play regardless
Great idea and interesting puzzles. I made it to the third one, in which your robot needs to control another robot; I couldn't figure out how to solve it. The checkpoints at the start of each puzzle were a nice touch. Though, my advice would be to minimize the use of text wall instructions and to add some sound.
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I didn't leave myself much time for audio work, and the text explanations weren't ideal, but the text you saw was all of it.
I linked to a walkthrough in another comment. You've probably already moved on to other games by now, but if anyone else reading this is stuck and still wants to see the rest of the game, it might help.
It's very cool and creative look on the jam theme "Out of Control", because sometimes you literraly have to lose control in order to solve a puzzle.
I really enjoyed playing this game. The visals are clean, informative and pretty. I really like the color palette. Sound effects are satisfying and they do enchance the gameplay expirience.
The puzzles have a very clever design that gives that nice feeling of discovery and satisfaction. And I like the evolution of game mechanics from the core idea of using transmitters to control robots.
Overall it's a great game that has interesting puzzle design, good presentation and fun gameplay. Good Job!
P.S. Thank you for playing and commenting our game! Much appreciated! https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/698000
A neat concept and well executed.
