How does your game fit the theme?
The game gets faster and your character becomes harder to control as the Madness gauge increases (whenever you are hit). You need to lose some control to get through most levels though.

it is really fun, the music and the visual is very nice, i really love the part the more damage you take the more madness the game become lol.
Really fun and hectic. I honestly love how you just gain more speed for being in music and jump height, and how you need it to pass levels. A bit to hard a bit to fast though, as everyone else has said. Well done.
Same opinion to a lot of the below comments, difficulty ramps up too quickly in the stages. Consider trying to organize some less experienced gamers to help with play testing in the future so you're not only balancing for the top of the skill curve.
Liked the game idea, although controls can be a bit hard at times. Great visuals and music, Level design could do with a bit more work but for the time allowed the game turned out great. God job.
Really fun game! The idea behind it is a super cool interpretation of the prompt, and the feel is on point. It could use some playtesting for some of the later levels because they're way too hard, but of course that's hard to come by in a jam. I think it could benefit from having more open levels.
Nice game! i cant get past level 9 tho
Great game! The visuals were great, I loved the screen shake and the snappiness of the controls. A couple things though. First, I wouldn't make the music stop after every level, it kind of breaks the flow. Second, for me, the character slid to much, I would have preferred a character that breaks quickly. Finally, I think the difficulty curve is too big, but it's a game jam so that doesn't bother me too much. Great job with this! Here's mine https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/697413 feel free to check it out :)
I totally agree with all your feedback. We'd have loved to polish of all these aspects (continuous music, difficulty curve, and slight adjustments on character physics (though fixing the difficulty curve would help a lot with that already)). Will definitely check Split Shot later today, thank you for playing!
awesome! I look forward to seeing future projects by y'all!
Love the music and the art!
Awesome game! I'm glad I saw it on Taco stream.
Nice job!
Very cool idea! A bit too hard though :D Great music and art!
True, we did mess up that difficulty curve :(
Here's a full playthrough (just to prove it's not COMPLETELY impossible): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Zq7fqZPZV8&
The hulk out mechanic is great!
One of my favorite games in this jam, great job
The main mechanic
This game is very polished and a lot of fun to play! It feels very slippery at times and makes platforming a bit too hard, but I guess that’s the point. Great presentation and artwork. Music fits in perfectly with the visual themes.
Great job!
hard and addictive, i want to at least see someone complete it.
As I mentioned on stream this is a great submission - solid in all areas.
There are considerable issues on the difficulty curve side, and really minor confusing visual cues - but even so it's a really strong submission, congrats!
I'm bad at this game, but I like it! The art especially, I loved the world it was set in. Really nice work.
Really enjoyed this one; the concept of having too much power for your own good isn't something you see in a lot of games, and it's done really well here. And I really enjoyed the sprite work, the shaders and the music.
I really like it! The music is also amazing!
Great little platformer that require plan a little bit before start jumping around. Nice work.
