What a nice pixel art style, The gameplay was also a lot of fun, I loved the simple fighting mechanics and how simple the game loop was. Took me some time to get another player but once I got to try it I had a lot of fun, thanks for sending this to me!

Stupendous art! I lost myself in the beauty of the game, it was really worth playing it! I don't think I have any major criticism to make about!
I just played a few rounds of this with Masaiko and ArnoldusThe Great - this game is FUN! I recommend everyone to try and buddy up on the GMTK discord to play this gem.
It focuses on the main mechanic (time without your skull), and sticks to a clean and simple fighting system - really good design!
(if anyone reading the comments does want to buddy up on the GMTK discord, I've made a list of loads of other awesome multiplayer games too https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dJjbKhlp9DG-rSVq9ytHtBBC0Y5SHTXDNx1sk-iaSIk/edit#gid=0 )
I commend you on making a working multiplayer game within the time limit. Once I understood the mechanics, it was a lot of fun to play. I would suggest maybe making the attack time a bit shorter, just because it holds you in place for a while. Maybe also have some negative feedback for whoever gets the kill, otherwise once someone is losing it's very difficult to make a comeback when the controls are warped. The graphics were all very nice (similar to Nidhogg). Overall a really good submission.
Thanks for the feedback and for playing the game! Since the hits can be quite fatal, we decided to make the attack time long enough to prevent attack spamming which would've made the game a bit too chaotic. Now you'll have to aim and time your attacks properly but maybe some tweaking is still in place. :)
I'll try to be around running games today starting from now until around 8:00pm (GMT). If you pop in and I don't start the game immediately, wait a bit as I don't get any notifications if someone joins in the lobby. I'll make sure to check in on the hour to so that would be the best time to jump in.
Also, If you don't see any games in the main menu, wait a few minutes. The menu currently doesn't show any active / ongoing games so it might look nobody is playing even though there might be a game running currently. One match usually lasts just a few minutes max so the waiting time shouldn't be long. :)
We've setup a discord where you can come and ask for other players to play with if there's no games running at the time.
It can be found at https://discord.gg/37ZWk9h
Had the chance to play with someone, multiplayer games are risky but it worked perfectly fine ! I understood the concept, but player that are hit have very low chance of winning. But hey, you made a multiplayer game that works and is quite nice in 48h :)
The game looks really fun but I am confused about the controls lol, which button is attack?
Love the art syle! Unfortunately there wasn't anyone else to play with.
Could not play/rate - stuck on lobby page and cannot click Create Game and no games available to join.
Thanks for letting us know. Sorry you didn't get to try the game.
Might be an issue with UI scaling. It looks like the button hitboxes move or scale wrong depending on the aspect ratio / resolution. If you can't see button click effect on Create Game button when clicking it, that's probably the reason. You could try clicking next to the button to see if that helps or try to adjust the resolution.
Hopefully you'll get to try the game with a friend or a few. It's definitely worth the try!
We used Skeleton sprite made by Jesse Munguia (https://jesse-m.itch.io/skeleton-pack) as a reference but redid all sprites and animations in higher resolution and added a few extra ones. A big thanks to Jesse for the character which also worked as an inspiration to this game!
