How does your game fit the theme?
In our game taking damage gives rage. Maxing out rage makes you lose control of your saxophone in favor of a melee frenzy which will in turn make you lose access to a musical note for a short period of time.

Did your team create the art for this game during the 48 hour time slot?

Pretty solid game, it was so fun to play, and the sound/spell mechanic was so fun to use.

I found this very difficult but I really enjoyed it. I think split paths in level 1 is too much complexity, and I think the heal spell should be earlier but I really enjoyed it. The look and sound is great, although please definitely add a volume slider.

I think the music keys should be 4 controls instead of 6 which would also map better to things like controller supprt eventually. I also had a hard time getting my head around the movement, an intro level to practice this stuff would be very helpful.

Definitely a good game but I would really like for the movement to make a bit more sense. It's kinda hard to determine which way I am going to go.

Having to use the mouse to see the songs is a bit much when you're using num pad and wasd too. I'd suggest q and e to rotate through the spells. Also, not everyone has a num pad so you should switch it to either arrow keys which are a lot more intuitive or uiojkl.

I'd like to see the difficulty ramp a bit better, first song is 3 notes and then the second one is 5.

Lot's of other feedback but we went over that in voice chat.

This is certainly one of the better games in this jam and I'd love to see more done with it!

Honestly, controls are a bit weird but I do love this game! Randomized Song Sheet.

This game is wonderful, i like the aesthetic, the musics is cool(one of them remember zelda, maybe the song of time?). Congratulations for the good job! Note: How this bird play a sax? It's no have a lips XD

Developer

It's a very talented bird and I totally know how saxophones work haha. Originally I was going to have it play the bag pipes but I think that would have made even less sense

I really liked it! At first it was kinda difficult (to me) but with some practice I gained rapidly some comfort with th num-pad controls. This game is so aesthetically pleasing!

A really stunning looking game! The controls felt a bit off to me (mix of perspective and controls, not sure how to explain) and switching spells was a bit annoying. But the gameplay was quite fun and overall an awesome game! good job!

I liked the idea of playing the saxaphone to attack. Can be a bit hectic at times and difficult to progress. I did however like the controls and the art. The camera angle can be a bit annoying at times. Overall I think it was a decent game and could even in the future, with some work, be released commercially.

A very fun experience! I love the audio, and the art style is a very nifty and pretty one. The attitude of the bird is very funny to me. I absolutely sucked at casting spells because I use the number pad so rarely that it is not instinctive for me to enter the right combo, but I still had a blast of a time button mashing for fireball. :P (Also, loved the way you handled opening the level exit, nice touch.) Good work! :D

Also, here's a bad fan art:

This is beautiful, I love it! Thank you so much for playing!

I really like the concept for this game. I had issues getting to the second level. I pressed enter but nothing happened

Developer

Hi! There was an issue where if you weren't in the middle of the little exit door the button wouldn't work, if you're still interested in trying again try leaving and reentering the door! Thanks for the comment

Yet another top-tier game! I like the RUINER-like controls too, it does change from the usual 'go up to go up' thing we're all used to. As others have said already, I kind of expect the game to be developed into something greater post-jam, if you still want to work on it a bit :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Personally I feel a bit mixed on how I executed the controls of the player but I'll def play around with that post jam for a bit. Definitely considering expanding this project!

What a great concept! This is such a great idea. I never really got used to the movement (the axis being fixed to 45 degrees from the camera broke my brain), but it was really fun to figure out the music mechanics.

Having the aim snap to nearby enemies is a really nice move that makes the bigger fights really interesting. The rage mechanic felt a bit like an after-thought to fit the theme of the jam, but it worked well with the rest of the game.

This idea could definitely be fleshed out into a full game.

I would love to see the game developed further after the jam has ended. The visuals are nice, the audio is great, and the concept is fantastic. Great job!

This one is super cool. The level where I had to use "wind reflect" was a little too difficult for me (my number pad is broken) but this is a cool concept and I'd love to play more!

a very original idea and the implementation is really good, the gameplay feels satisfying and the music is amazing, an amazing entry overall, keep up the good work ! :)

Absolutely incredible game, creative, great art, great theme, I love it! I can't believe you managed to make it all in 48 hours. I spent way too long playing this since I'm so bad lol. I think the difficulty could be turned down a bit, probably by reducing the damage you take from attacks, although the saxophone frenzy did help reduced this problem. That's an easy fix though and there's not much more I could think of to improve it. This game has amazing potential and with some polishing I think it could be a great success! Great work!

Hilarious concept, I've always wanted to live out my dreams as a avian saxophonist. I liked the sheet music system. Cheeky little Zelda reference at the beginning :) Very impressive for a jam, fantastic work!

Really nice looking game. I also could play baby shark, with the first set of notes :DD

Submitted(+1)

Really creative, I laughed the first time the rage happened. I think everything in the game worked really well together, it looked nice, had good gameplay and a fun mechanic. You guys did a great job! Only issue was that sometimes it seemed songs wouldn't play after pressing the not combinations.

I didn't realize I got a melee frenzy until just now! I had a lot of fun with this, and you did a great job considering the tight time constraints. Well done!
