I don't think I can complete this, but I love the gameplay idea. I really felt the stress breakdown

There are really moments where she just does not let you control for a day, you weren't lying when you wrote she isn't in control of her life :P Really cool aesthetics and nice music ! It took me some time to find all activites, in particular the games and smartphone. Won on my second attempt, with only a few hours left. It became a bit easier once i had found you don't have to wait for her eyes to open but can force her to give you a chance to choose by pressing space or clicking on something while she walks, even if she already decided to do something.
Hello PatateNouille!! Hahah, thanks for trying it out! And thanks for the compliments!! <3
Yeah, hahaha, specially with stuff like the TV, which can be absolutely suck her in- it makes her sad and is addictive, and sadness leads to more addiction, so gotta be careful with that one!
Indeed, you can! I tried to hint at it in the main menu but i think i wasn't clear enough. I pushed my luck there, i think- but i was ridiculously tired when doing the explanations, hahahahah. Gotta note that for the final build- to explain that!
Man, i need to play you guy's games. In the weekend, i promise!
Wow, this is such a poignant experience wrapped in silky smooth art and fitting music! It is truly a vicious cycle, watching TV, and going for sadness naps... goes to show how easily our lives can spiral out of control into addiction. I am truly impressed at how well thought out the statistics of each activity is, for example video games are great at elevating misery, but causes fatigue. This mirrors our real life struggle everyday so well. I played the game a couple of times, but have not managed to completed both tasks by the deadline yet. However, I do get better each time.. and I believe that's what matters, be better than we were before :) Thank you for making a wonderfully thoughtful game! Well done!
You are so nice, thank you so much!!! :D
That's a really nice point to take away from it, really! Even if things seem impossible or like the world will drag you down, you can do great things if you don't give up.
I'm really happy at the comments of people who understand situations like this. I mean, it might be quite universal, but i'm pretty sure it has also been quite personal to all of us. So it's good to connect in this way, even if it is for some mere minutes.
Again, thank you so much for the comment! :)
It's a pretty interesting and deep game wich shows the real problems of working at home. It's a little bit hard to understand how to play it at the beginnig, but slowly I get to the bottom of things and really like it. Also, fantastic art and fine music.
Cheers for really getting the atmosphere down and stressing me out as a player. After quite frankly too many tries (and agonizing loses) I finally managed to get my work and homework done!
Sometimes the greatest games don't have to be the most gameplay focused, and I think this is a perfect representation of that. You nailed the theme perfectly psychologically, with cute art and a all too relatable situation. The character was quirky and familiar, you had a super fitting OST, and you wrapped it perfectly all in 48 hours!
This game, no, this experience was rewarding, engaging, and all in all fantastic! This is brutally underrated so far, I hope this gets more recognition as the deadline nears. I'm rootin' for ya!
(also if you really want proof I completed it my discord is hue#9234 lol, though this should be proof enough I took it to the end :P)
AHHH THANKS
Let me first tell you that replies like this are what makes all of it worth it in the end!
I've actually read this quite some time ago but i did not have time nor the energy to reply (ironic, huh? hahahah), but let me tell you you did make my day.
I'll take you saying that last part to mean you finished it, hahahaha
Lots of luck to you on the jam, good person!
Well I spent a lot of time sleeping since that seems to be the best way of doing stuff. Yet I only managed to get my work done and forgot about my homework. I wish there was an option to go for a walk/do sports since that is an important factor in this scenario that helps a lot (talking from personal experience here). Either way this game is fun and beautifully illustrated and the music perfectly underlines this. Really well done!
Thanks! And that IS true, to be honest, works wonders to chill out.
The idea changed dramatically form it's original form because i ended up using it and adapting it for the jam- you had to balance your social life -or lack of one- with all of that, too. That one would have been fun hahahaha
Thank you so much!!
A lovely, stressful, awfully accurate game. Considering I actually said out loud "Please, I am just BEGGING you to focus a little longer," as she stopped doing work just before the bar was full, and god if I've not been there yelling at myself before...
Neat art style (also, loved the cheeky little only one tower poster in the back), good sound design, and suitably tough gameplay. Nice work! :D
