Interesting game concept, wish that there'll have more levels for us to play

Amazing game! Really fun and cute presentation and was overall an amazing experience! Great job for 48 hours!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! Love your cute avatar :D

Excellent game! The presentation is perfect. I was smiling the whole way through.

I hope you can turn this into a longer, full game.

Developer

Thank you for such kind praise :) We will definitely work on this further!

This is a really funny meta interpretation of the theme. Love the art style too! Very simple, but polished and not distracting (well, it's distracting, but that's kind of the point). Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it!

Of course! We'd love your feedback on our game as well. SpaceBus

This is very creative! I love the low poly artstyle! If I had to change one thing, I would give the player more jump height. I understand why you didn't, there are only three levels, so naturally there is a bigger difficulty curve. Sometimes I felt like I was just barely making jumps (maybe what you want? I'm not sure). But overall, great game! Hoping this gets top 100. Here's my game,  https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/697413 feel free to check it out:)

Developer

Thank you! The initial intention was to make it a difficult/frustrating game, but from what we see, we will look into whether that should be the case (or so soon into the game). Perhaps making the platformer slightly more fluid will improve the experience. Thank you for the feedback!

I love the fact, that the game is so important to the player that he doesn´t do anything about a bird hammering his keyboard :D
Fantastic idea! Seems a bit to close to the reality of my sometimes way to crowded desk hahaha

Developer (1 edit)

Haha thank you! Oh dear, hope a bird won't come in and destroy your keyboard haha

Submitted(+1)

The idea is just awesome.

Developer

Thank you!

That was a really neat idea. It fit the theme well. I just wish the jump was a little higher, I was struggling before any challenges were introduced.

Developer

Thank you! Yes, will likely adjust the difficulty, might have made it too difficult. Didn't want it to be easy but ended up making it harder than expected. This is helpful!

A lot of people are doing control screws, but this is the first one I've seen that actually shows why the keyboard has weird input. I managed to beat it, but it definitely took me a few tries. Well done! Bonus points for being meta.

Developer

Thank you so much! Glad you like the meta approach to explaining the control screws :)

Nice, this was really cute,  I didn't expect the bird to fly in peck on the space bar! Liked the concept and I think some small quality of life improvements would be helpful such as making the jump on the very first level a bit less tight (since it is after all, the world's easiest platformer, maybe you don't even have to jump). Another small thing would be to add a horizontal line for the moving platformer in the second level to help the player visualize when it'll turn again.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the constructive feedback! We really had lesser time to flesh out the 2d mechanics as we focused on the 3d first. Yes, these are great suggestions, will definitely look into them after this jam :)

Hilariously clever! I liked the metagame idea. I will say that sometimes it seemed like my jump height changed and I couldn't get to certain platforms. A little bit of polish on the platforming would go a long ways here. Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Will  defo work on polishing the 2D mechanics to make it even more fun :)

The look on that birds face when the coffee gets spilled.... Just thinking of it will give me nightmares today :Z

Developer (1 edit)

Haha it seems like we have two groups of players, those who hate it and those who love it xD Keep your windows closed and thanks for playing!

nice game :)

Really cute presentation! Loved the bird dude.

Some of the level design could use some work. The jumps felt a bit tougher to land than I'd hope with some of the controls being made for me. Really charming game overall, great stuff!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback :) Yes, will definitely work on the 2d level designs!

Pretty fun for a short game! The music is so calming and I love the mix of both 2d and 3d, a simple look yet nice to look at.  I tip my hat to the creators keep up the good work!

Thank you :)

Love the concept! Was quite short sadly but the gameplay and originality of the concept ruled :)

Developer

Thank you! It was alittle difficult to develop both the 3d and the 2nd in the time limit, hence it was much shorter than planned. But glad you liked it, will definitely build on it :)

I genuinely love everything about this. Great work! would love to see it expanded to more levels.

Developer

Thank you lemm! Will definitely build on the game :)

The nugget of something really lovely. Can't wait to see more.

Thank you :)

I loved the concept, the execution, art and music. I think the only criticism I have it I wanted more of the game haha. Hope you carry on working on this now the jam is over. I'd love to play more levels. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Will defo build out more of the game after the jam! Please look forward to it :)
