very interesting gameplay, and a serious subject you have breached!
how did you choose this name? I am really curious since you mentioned its a real story.
In Spain we (used to) give quite awful names to women. You may know Dolores, which means pain in plural.
Soledad means solitude, and was my grandmother's name.
oh ... wow! I never knew Dolores meant pain! Wow! So this is indeed a very personal project, which leads me to think that the names might correspond to more of your relatives... I applaud you! Very personal and touching
That's a pretty cool game! I enjoyed it and i really like the concept! soledad in spanish means solitude, pretty sad, good job! rated! please check out my game too :D
It's inspired from a real story, so yes, sad is what I was going for...
Thank you for playing anyway, I will check your game later :)
I think it would be interesting if you started with no colors and began with the names of the core family members, i.e. mother, father, and sons. Then once you confirm those, more distant names appear and you have to confirm them by relying on the relationships rather than the colors. It would be cool if names and colors only appeared after they've been confirmed. Just a thought - feel free to completely ignore this. I really liked the idea, and the execution was very visually and auditorily pleasing. Great job!
That's a very interesting suggestion that I hadn't considered. In my mind the colors needed to disappear, rather than appear...
I'm not sure if I am going to change the gameplay in the future, but if I do, I will most definitely consider your comment.
Thank you for playing and for your insightful comment :)
I definitely felt out of control, this is a unique memory game which puzzled me greatly. Great job on the presentation, I had fun! :)
Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Awesome game! Well done!
Thank you for playing and for the kind words!
Cool memory game! the UI was nice too. This idea is clever, you should keep working on it! Great job submitting to the jam, and I hope you learned a lot of new things! If you have time, please check out my entry :D
Yes, I learned a lot, especially since this is my first ever finished game :D I've been working on polishing it and will release the update as soon as the jam is over.
Thanks a lot for playing!
La idea es interesante, pero pienso que es muy difícil empezar directamente con todo el árbol familiar, en ves de ir los introduciendo en distintas etapas.
Esa era la idea inicial! Pero tuve que cortarla por falta de tiempo.. Gracias por jugar!
Nice game the idea is very nice, i also rated your game. Also if you could try it out and rate my game that would mean a lot :)
Thank you for the kind words! Of course, I always rate the games of the people who take time to rate mine :)
Having a gameplay based on exploring a family graph is very original and interesting ! It can be a little tedious but it is nice to discover this kind of experimental game. I would it could have been better to only rely on the name of the family members because I felt like relying on the colors made the challenge less interesting. Otherwise the game is well done !
I kept going back and forth with the colors but kept it in the end because I felt it would be too tedious to remember all the family members...
I also thought of removing the color at some point during gameplay but this got dropped for time reasons ^^
In any case, thanks a lot for the feedback!
I really liked this! Very unique concept, and I think you nailed it! Keep making games!
Thanks!
