After many many tries, I finally passed the one minute best time ! The catchy sound and animations feedback and the perfectly balanced difficulty alterning really hard obstacles and simple one to let the player rest a little make this game one of the best of the jam in the fun category. Nothing to add or remove, there is already everything it needs to make the player wants to retry and retry until he beats its previous best score !
This is a really special and fun game. Making the characters jump and pull each other back is a really satisfying mechanic to pull off, great work on the artwork as well! Amazing :)
My favorite game I've played this jam so far, simply addicting. I think the tutorial went by a bit to quick and I died a few times till I got it, but when I did I could not stop (I'm going to have that song stuck in my head all day)!! My high score was 1m 2 seconds. One improvement I'd suggest is being more forgiving with the time Top can jump again. Sometimes I'd click right as he hit the ground and he wouldn't jump which was a bit frustrating. The aesthetics are simple and cute. Fantastic work!
Even though I'm not very good at the game, jumping up and slamming down to send the other car flying is such a fresh and fun concept. I think more interactions like this would make the movement even more frenetic!
This game is awesome. It's a really fun idea that can be definitely be addicting on the mobile phone. Nice work!
Fantastic idea, even better execution! The game is perfectly polished, great fun, and highly addictive!
The sound effects, art and gameplay are perfect :D 5/5, great job!
This was really cool. You could've easily just made up and down jump for each character but this was a lot more interesting! Art is nice looking and I like the western theme. Great job! 😁
Great idea very nicely done!
It reminds me a lot of the game Ibb and Obb but it feels very very different. (Would be great on mobile I guess)
This is a masterpiece. The clarity/efficiency of the visuals, the integrated tutorial, and the asymmetrical controls of the bots make this an incredible submission. A brilliant realization of the theme!
Flows very well! Could be a very simple time waster, and its visually appealing! Nice work! Could also be expanded into a more puzzle type game too.
This was great!
You should consider making a mobile version of this game. The art, audio, and gameplay-mechanic all work together so well and make this game fun to play.
I saved this so I can play later too.
Thanks for your kind words. I indeed consider making a mobile version. That was not the plan at first, but in the end, I agree it could be a very good fit.
I’ve tried your game and the idea is very interesting. However, I can’t pass the fourth level. The first one with two colors. I’ve tried all combinations but nothing works.
Love the minimal art, and that classic retro western music vibe hits amazingly. The limited palette works wonders, and the simple bits of scenery really add a tonne!
I generally am not much of a fan of punishing games where you don't really progress, but there are plenty of people who are so thats no real criticism.
Anyway, great job!
