How does your game fit the theme?
In Vogue you need to join other dancers in order to complete the level. However, when you are together, they take over for some beats, resulting in interesting gameplay where you need to quickly adapt! Dancing together is more fun, specially when you mix your dance moves with the others.

This is such an interesting concept!!! I missed the window for rating but the control scheme for moving around easily gets five out of five stars for originality! I also really like the theme that emerges once the player gains a dance partner, mainly that dancing with someone means balancing how you move with the way someone else moves, and that being okay with not being 100 percent in control is what makes dancing with a partner both so terrifying and so exciting. Well done!
Wow thank you so much for playing and that awesome feedback!! So glad you enjoyed it :D
This is a very intriguing game with a very original core concept. I loved the idea of moving on the beat and having to position myself so that the move would be helpful to me. I wished that there was some way to control what direction I move, because it seemed random and I would often get stuck in a position where I couldn't get to the next person. However, this is a minor issue in a very cool concept.
Thank you, I really appreciate the feedback! In theory the movement you get is not really random, it is the last dancer's move, but since I didn't polish the design and added more visual cues on what it's happening, it definitely can feel a bit random (for example, the dancers always move before the player, but it is not really shown and that can make the move you get seem counterintuitive). Hope you liked it still and I will for sure learn from this for the next time. Thank you so much!!! :D
Cool idea. The movement is a little chaotic, which I guess was your idea. Though it's hard to stay on top of everything, but I don't think there is anything obvious that can be done to fix it. Great
Thank you so much for playing! Yes, it can get a bit hectic, but part of it is my fault for not doing more to make it clearer how the dancers will make the character move, something to improve upon on the next iteration. I really appreciate your feedback :D
Really nice game idea! I love how this relates to the theme. I think a little bounce effect/grow-shrink effect to indicate which direction is going to be played would be neat, or a jump from tile to tile. Either way, this is really impressive amount of work and creativity for a 48 hour jam, great work!
Hey, thanks for play it!!! Really glad you enjoyed. Yes, we agree, think that we could do the game more intuitive, maybe after the jam we change it a bit. Thanks a lot for the feedback and the support.
Thank you for your feedback! Some "game juice" improvements would definitely be great, and I think they would help with understanding the game better, but thank you so much for playing and hope you enjoyed it :DDD
I really like the aesthetic but I did find it pretty hard to move after joining with someone, maybe being able to tell more clearly what's the move you will be adding to the sequence when you join another person would help too? Really cool idea though, well done!
Hi, thank you so much for playing! Yes, some more visual feedback would be great, the indicator on the bottom is a bit subtle and I think I could have done more to indicate that it is the other dancer's last move that gets added to your queue. Definitely something to improve upon on another iteration. Thanksss and hope you enjoyed it still! :D
Cute idea, love the little dancers. The randomized dancing and quick pace makes some levels needlessly challenging. By the time I see which direction they move me I'm already in the pits. Setting the pace to the player but rewarding them for keeping tempo might be a nice alternative.
Thank you, I really appreciate you playing! :D The dancers' moves are actually a loop that repeats, but I agree that it is a bit too fast. There is an option to make it slower in the settings, but it kinda feels too fast or too slow right now. At least next time I will hopefully learn from this and balance it better. Thank you and hope you liked it still! :D
Definitely! It was a very charming little game ^^
Really like the puzzle levels, but it moves to fast for me to think and figure out what beat I'm on. Solid idea.
Thank you so much for the feedback! Yes, I went a bit too crazy with the speed, there is an option to make it slower in the settings, but after the jam I would like to give more granular control because now it feels either too fast or too slow. Thanksss! :D
