How does your game fit the theme?
The big shapes that you shoot are actually 2 smaller shapes that are "Joined Together" and can be split apart with the spear. You can also shoot one of the smaller shapes with an energy wave to get that shapes projectile for yourself. Essentially Joining Together with that shape.

The concept is cool. The firing modes require clarification and examples in a help section or suchlike. Getting the triple shot powerup with no evident timer stopping it from being used makes the game a cakewalk.
Balance the weapons, clarify the mechanics, a pass over the art now that you've got more time, and you'll have a great shooter game.
Hey, great job on this jam game! I think yeah some instructions for the controls would have been useful. I liked the music for the game a lot!
The games controls are listed on the games title menu on the bottom left corner.
Thank you so much for playing.
Once you understood the rules, game became quite nice. But seems like you forgot to put in controls how to shoot energy wave, found it occasionaly by myself) Still, good and solid game!
The instructions on the title screen say that the energy wave is done with the space bar, though depending on your resolution, it might get cut off.
Thank you for playing.
Splitting the enemies to gain their abilities is a really cool idea, and is something you can definitely expand upon! The oncoming bullets felt really big, and I wasn't able to figure out how their spawning was determined in order to develop a strategy to consistently avoid them. Making where those bullets originate more obvious will definitely go a long way for this game. Good job, I hope this has helped you with the other arcade action game you're making!
Thank you so much.
And the enemies actually shoot every other second, but I didn't make it very clear. There was going to be a sound for when they're about to shoot, and another for when they shoot, but I sadly didn't have the time to put it in.
Gotcha gotcha, something to keep in mind for the other game you're developing! Good luck with it, hope it turns out well! :)

I liked the sound effects, and the game felt very smooth. No bugs as far as I can tell! Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any difficulty scaling or progression in general. You can kinda just spam left mouse button and continue forever. Bullet hitboxes were significantly different then their apparent size- they were way smaller. I liked the idea of needing to split enemies in order to join with them and get their bullet shape, however the different bullets didn't seem to actually do anything different. I think with a little more work and some procedural levels you'd have a pretty fun game!
Yeah, the bullets have smaller hit boxes than it looks so they're easier to avoid, though the player already has a tiny hit box so maybe it was a bit overboard.
Before the Jam, I was actually in the process of making another Arcade Action game that's sorta similar to this(though not a shooter) so this feedback is very useful for that. Thank you for playing.
