Niiiiice! Beautiful game! And the physics and animation are really good too.

I couldn't find the exit, died a couple of time, and had to call it a day, time to go back to work... But I'll give it another go!

Well done!

OK, so the art and animation are gorgeous, and the idea fits the jam, but I had no idea where I was supposed to go. I am guessing, up? I kept running into dead ends and breaking the egg, and because I had no idea whether I came closer to the goal on this run, it got too frustrating and I never finished it.

Thank you for the feedback,  I'm sorry about the frustration, the dead ends and such where intentional, but i didnt have time to balanace things out as much as i would have liked, i might go back in a later build and fix some of these problems after the jam

I think just giving the player some indication of how close they are to escaping would alleviate most of my frustration. Just, I dunno, make the background lighter the closer you get to the finish, or add a message like ("You were X meters away from escaping...") when the bat dies...

Developer(+1)

thank you for the feedback, the background does get lighter you get closer to the exit if that helps at all, but ill see what I can do in the next build

beautiful!  A lot of dead ends was a little frustrating, but to be fair, it made reaching the end quite satisfying.  the art is amazing, fantastic job!

Developer

thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Even though I liked the art style, sometimes I had difficulties to tell what is a part of the background and what isn’t.

Developer

thank you for the feedback! I’ll do my best to remedy this in a later build

Ok, this is probably my second favorite game in the jam so far. This is a solid example of great level design, a well executed concept. Some nit picks. The controls are great but feel heavy and the collisions are a little too pixel perfect. In some areas I got snagged on little branches I guess that's what they were. This feels like a mix of Hollow Knight and Limbo. Very well done. Literally I played the entire time with my jaw on the floor and mumbling "this is so cool."

Developer

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed it! I am curious about what you mean by pixel perfect collisionsthough,.In a later build I may reduce the weight of the egg a little and up the shell tolerance to make things a bit easier. thank you so much for the feedback!

Fun game! Reminds me stylistically of rain world, which is one of my favorite games

Developer

thank you so much!, rain world did come up a little while looking for inspiration. I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

wow the controller felt so awesome! i could really feel as if i am carrying an egg on a rubber line.

It felt like the game could use a little more guidance through the level.

Developer

Thank you! The family members I had try the game also agreed, but when I added more direct routes through the cave, they thought the game became too easy. I may add a few more direct route in a later build of the game if that helps! I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

A Linux version is labeled but I couldn't find it :/

Developer

oh whoops i thought i built it as standalone! sorry ill find a way to fix that

Really awesome visuals the backgrounds are prettttty and the flowing particles look super nice! The worms didn't seem too much of a bother they just lunge and don't do much!

Developer

Thank you for the feed back! The monsters/lizards/worms have a random attack timer between a few seconds. I might lower the highest wait time in a later build

Submitted(+1)

Absolutely stunning art, especially love the way the goop particles spray off of you.

I was also thinking it was just going to be a case of having to move very slowly to make sure the egg doesn't break, until one of the worms jumped out at me. Really good way to make you weigh up being careful versus moving fast

Developer

thank you I'm glad you like it, I was worried the goop would get in the way, I'm glad it worked out!

I absolutely love the art!

The game-feel is great too. Though a little slow going.

Good job!

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed it, in a post jam build I might find away to speed things up a little.

background and background movement were stellar. you really had me hating those magma worms, too

Developer(+1)

they can get the best of you if your not careful! I'm really glad you liked it!
