Really great riff on the theme. I found it pretty challenging, but fun -- lots of polish, great art and audio. Nice work!

Fun and fitting the theme ! It could've been interesting if each character would have to face its nemesis, to play of the strength and weakness of their weaponry. Right now, the range projectile (lower left), seems a bit overpowered.

Suprisingly I survived longer before I realised how to shoot, and I was only escaping.

Visuals and audio adds to the experience :)

The concept is really interesting and the animations are pretty cute! The game is near impossible due to the spawn rate but I really like the idea!

Some tweaks in balancing could really help your game but overall it is a great game.

Great game! I like how quickly it goes from shooting one or two enemies on the screen to absolute chaos, shooting at hordes of enemies and desperately trying to keep your little guys alive. Sure it might be difficult, but that's what makes it fun and exhilarating to play! I could definitely see this as a two or four person game where each person is controlling one half or one fourth of the map with some minor tweaks. Great job and good luck to you in competition! ︎♋

Fun and original game play! Once you lose an element or two, it spirals out of control pretty quickly. Maybe too quickly... It took me quite some attempts before I survived more than a minute. But still I like the challenge. :-)

A minor comment: on a low resolution screen, the mouse hit test for the menu buttons is off somehow.

Super fun idea! Very smart design move to tie together characters dying to enemy generation. I thought the controls felt great and the art is super charming.

Really liked the game, controls were hard to get used to at first, maybe the mouse would have been a better idea than the arrow keys. I also really liked the challenge. It tested the hand eye coordination to an ordeal in a good way. Really cool execution.
