I honestly didn't think you could make a game out of VENN diagrams, but here we are and it's pretty great! There's not really any reason to not just wait for the red dots to go by though, maybe have like a timer that you have to replenish with normal dots, so that you can't just wait out the red ones. But then again, I'm not really one to tell you how to make your game, take that suggestion as what you want it to be :D
Thanks, and I appreciate the feedback! I wanted it to be a game my friends and family would enjoy playing, but the gameplay is probably a little slow for most gamers. In later updates to the game I plan on making breaking orbs an urgent need. Thanks for playing!
This definitely shines the most in it's idea and presentation. Hats off to you for thinking for something like this, I genuinely enjoyed playing. The art and sound design are fitting and don't really need much improvement. I do believe that some sort of timer or bar depleting when you aren't active would incentivize more strategic playing.
Thanks so much! I love your idea with the depleting bar. I want the game to feel more urgent, so something that will put the player a little more on edge would fit nicely. Thanks for playing!
Scored 457. Cool sound effects, did you come up with them yourself? Unselecting the joined section was often helpful. Would have liked an incentive to either save up for the biggest hits possible and/or not wait for all the red dots to die down. As is it, you can spam the button as often as you want and also just wait out tricky spots as long as you want with no consequences.
Haha, I did! I love making music with FL Studio, so after I made the tune I just picked a few notes that matched the key and recorded them. As far as incentives for big hits, I really want to add a combo system where if you hit enough orbs in a single break, it would give a multiplier to the number you destroyed. Hopefully later on I can release an update with some new features. Thanks for the feedback!
Pretty cool game! Being presented a huge wall of controls was initially confusing, but the game played well once you got used to them and the visual effects and sounds built together very well! One thing I noticed though is that since there was no time factor or points lost for missing orbs (that I noticed, at least), if I really wanted to I could've just sat with one circle and only used it whenever it was favorable for me to do so. Overall though, real neat game and concept!
Great points. During the jam I tried to make the game easy enough for friends and family, but there wasn't much to make the game more interesting after the first couple minutes. Having a bar that depletes if you don't collect enough orbs would probably give that sense of urgency it needs. Thanks for playing!
Nice concept, had a few issues to get used to the controls, was hard to remember all of them, maybe a few icons in the in-game UI would help that :)
Good feedback! I think I could use the space on the right to create a tree showing the different selection options and what keys to press to get them.
Thanks for playing the game!
yeah I just felt it require to much time to rember all of them is somehow not intuitive but maybe is just me :)
Ps if u end u review mine sorry for the missing checkpoints
Great concept !! Already good and has potential to expand. I hardly believe that the lives are not always displayed correctly, but I am not sure. Great work!
Thanks for playing! The lives are updated to the game manager's value every time the spacebar is pressed (except for when you lose your last life, where it goes straight to the game over screen). I'll play through some more and see if I notice anything odd. Breaking multiple red orbs in a single selection will make you lose multiple lives, but I'll have to check!
This game is awsome very fun, entertaining, very good art and music
The controls are a bit confusing at the beginning but overall 10/10 would recommend
(stopped at 1000 cos I knew I would be here all afternoon)
Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad to hear you liked it! It means a lot :) I thought about a few different control schemes and settled on this one. If I could do it over again I would have prioritized a small tutorial at the beginning explaining a few of the selections to use.
Very addicting and original game, great job! 馃憦
