How does your game fit the theme?
Reverse bullet hell. You need to absorb bullets to heal yourself and you must keep enemies alive as long as possible before killing them to absorb as many bullets as possible.

Intersting gameplay and mechanics and really fun to play. Unfortunately I didn't get over 70000 :(
Cool idea and great art!
Am I the best player or what? The game is really fun and later on got really challenging and intense, I was just waiting for that next powerup drop lol, especially the area insta kill one. The enemies turning red when close to exploding was such a good addition, whenever I saw red on my screen I would instantly switch my targets. For improvements I'd say adding some more juice whenever shooting or hitting the enemies, as well as just adding more feedback, like maybe some screen shake if the enemies die or something, it's obviously completely understandable due to the time restrictions. The font was a bit hard for me to read too but could just be me.
bruh how did you get that?
Can't reveal my secrets 🤫
Took me a minute to understand the game, but I think I got it in the end. A lot of games have just put you in the seat of the less played character. This flipped a whole genre, which is great! Fantastic job!
The artstyle is fantastic, especially with the ui. This was the first sort of "reverse bullet hell" I tried and it's really fun!
It took me a few tries and readings to understand how the game worked properly, obviously because of the time restraint things like a tutorial are harder to make so that's perfectly reasonable. The gameplay as others have said is really satisfying after you understand how it works and this is really solid as a jam submission. Good choice of sfx and music, and again the visuals just work so well.
The only thing I'd probably say is providing more player feedback through particles, animations, or more sounds would've helped me a lot in understanding how the game worked. I found a lot of the time (since written tutorials aren't exactly the best for me) I was questioning whether I did something good or bad. Again, a lot of these quality of life things are hard to implement during a jam.
I'm probably gonna replay this a bunch when my focus comes back more lol. Really good work on this entry and good luck for the rest of the jam!
Nice arts and concept!
I really liked the visuals. Shooting sound was a bit loud for my taste but that's no problem. (Menu music is incredible btw) Gameplay quite satisfacting and it gives greate adrenaline. I think I saw games similar like this, but yours is best among them all. Really great game, visuals and sounds. 9/10
Very effective and engaging gameplay loop. Good job!
Neat concept, I didn't realize until the very end that if the enemies timer ran out it damaged the core thingy, if I realized that sooner I think I would have done better. I really enjoyed the core gameplay, I was trying to keep enough enemies on screen to fill up my energy, while also just having fun killing lol. Really glad I played :)
Ooh, really had fun with this one! Neat spin on the reverse bullet hell genre (our team went a very different direction with it), and I had a lot of fun seeing how high of a score I could get! That said, I absolutely took your high score challenge personally - ended up with 316,611 ( https://prnt.sc/bkcHL0snkefa ) :P
Seriously, nice work on this one, y'all!
Cool game! I'm not sure I fully understand it after the limited time I've had with it, but the art is nice. Check out my game if you find the time <3
