Really interesting idea. I could see this being very cool with a little more time, but what we have right now is cool.

How does your game fit the theme?
Normally it is user who is being influenced by social media content. Now the role is reversed - player controlls the algorithm and tries to influence other people.

Neat concept, and enjoyed that it was a game with something to say. Sometimes a bit frustrating because, after playing through a few times, it seems like there's a limited pool of tweets and sometimes you just don't get the correct ones for the user you're influencing, and I couldn't figure out how to at least mitigate the user's boredom in that case. I still wish there was more of the game to play, though, so I'm glad to hear that you're planning to continue developing after the jam!
Thanks for playing!
Some notes from developing - initially we had an idea that user should have at least one "good" bidLE in the pool. Good meaning increasing agenda score and reducing boredom. Then we switched to only agenda score and it was still really easy to win and hard to lose, but the pool of birdLEs we tested back then was really small. And after adding more birdLEs we changed the idea so the birdLE you get are totally random right now. That might have been not the best one we had but at least player could now lose sometimes :D
We will probably play with the ratio of good to bad birdLEs and the size of the pool so it is not as frustrating at the times ;D
I really enjoyed the concept of this one, and it's a very relatable one too. Could see this making quite an in-depth experience if developed further!
Really cool concept! I feel like this even has the potential to become something bigger, like a Not For Broadcast of sorts. Anyway, really cool take on the theme! :)
Really clever idea and message, glad you've decided to continue working on it! One idea for your consideration is to have an exploratory phase where you go through the user's profile to figure out their traits rather than having their traits given to you, might help with the repetitiveness that games like this usually suffer from if the game is split into two phases. Having an overarching plot would be awesome too and really drive home the message. Can't wait to see more!
Thank you! That is awesome idea we would love to do, but we will need to think how to implement it and based on what player should decide what traits that target have. This will require some brainstorming but I would also love to see it in the game some time ;D As for overarching plot - just wait :)
that was fun, very cool idea!
If you make a post-jam version maybe it would be a good idea to let the player know why the boredom level goes up or down, because that wasn’t always very clear for me.
But yeah, good job man!
I hope you will keep working on this, because it is a very interesting idea for gameplay! As for additional content I would love to see birdLE users with difficulty varieties, some of them easy, with traits right there in their descriptions, some harder where you have to deduce what they are like from maybe latest birdLE's they liked/shared or some other data? Maybe they bought something recently? Maybe they signed up for some newsletter? That would definitely spice up the game :) Good luck with the jam!
This is a really clever concept and is both a fun experience to play and has a strong message about social media. I think it would be great to polish the interactions a little more as this has a lot of potential!
I loved the idea, and I hope you can polish on this concept more, because a game like this could hopefully make people be more aware on how the algorithm can affect our worldview if we aren't aware. I guess my only comment would make the texts more simple to make it easier to the player to act quicker, at least considering that this version of the game is short, but interesting concept overall. Great work :)
Nice idea, it could be developed with a lot of depth and make a really interesting game.
at first i was a bit confused by the amount of the information, but turned out everything is quite clear! or i hope so :D
i love the concept, was fun to look for the right tweets. wish there were more tweets and targets to influence!
Clever game, I could see this being a big success with some extra content and polish.
