Really clever take on the theme. I've never seen something like this, but at the same time it's understandable right from the start what to to. Also I like how with each upgrade you are better and at the same time the your score is better.

Some upgrade on how responsive the camera would be helpful. But after all so smart game.

Edit: also the game is well polished

Really well made game, but game play doesnt last as long

Developer

Thanks!  I'm not entirely what you mean; last as long as what?

Pretty unique idea, was a bit confused as to the point at the beginning tho and idk if i'm entirely sold on the game feel, a bit hard too control. otherwise i think the visuals and noises were done well and add to the feedback of the ball!

Developer

Thanks for playing!  The controls can take some getting used to for sure.

Really cool concept! For me camera controls sometimes was a bit hard. Great work overall!

This is a really creative idea, and it works quite well :)

I like that the camera had inertia, but I found it to be a little bit too heavy feeling to let me make quick tweaks and change direction. Still, I had a good time :)

Developer

Thank you!  I appreciate the camera feedback.  I'm sure it could be improved with some more iteration and testing.

The game is very addicting

Thanks!

One of the most simple and creative games I've seen this jam! I think if you added some enemies, slightly snappier controls for the camera, and a little gravity, it could be even more amazing.

Developer

Thank you!  Those are all good suggestions of things to experiment with in the future.

Loved the music and the concept!!

I think bouncing the ball fast as hell across the screen by moving it franticly is very fun, I'd love this as a one-shot game once in a while :)

Great work!

Developer

Thanks!  It does seem like a solid candidate for a daily run kinda thing, now that I think of it...

Really nice and quite unique idea.

Thanks!

The experience of bouncing the ball around is satisfying, and the camera's sensation of physicality and momentum adds an interesting feel too.
This game has the potential to become way more fun (and chaotic!) if you incorporate some enemies.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing!  I'm glad you liked the physicality of the camera.

Very original controls, even if it takes sometimes to get used to them!

Developer

Hah, yeah, it's definitely not the standard control scheme.

Fun game!

Thanks!

This was great fun. I loved figuring out how best to pilot the screen so as to collect upgrades. Well done.

Thanks!  I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Loved the game! The minimalistic style works pretty well. The execution reminds me of the Kirby Air Ride game where you collect items that increase your stats before the "main" game! I think something like that could work for this game, a second phase where you have some kind of competition/race/fight with an opponent after collecting the items!

Developer(+1)

Thanks!  City Trial from Kirby Air Ride was a big source of inspiration for this game.  I wanted to have a second phase, but given the short time frame I wanted to focus on making sure the first part was fun enough on its own.  It's definitely on the list for post-jam updates.

Ohh, I see! I'm gonna give you a follow, really interested in the final result :)

That's fun, there are so many abilities, cool mechanic and the gameplay loop itself is nice, but simple

I would remove half of the abilities and the breakable squares to add enemies or projectiles or even more balls that you need to avoid

In my opinion, high score games need a way to lose, that adds a risk element to the game, in your case: getting powerups but avoiding hitting enemies

Still a good entry to the jam, feels good to play, so well done!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

Interesting mechanics! The style is absolutely adorable as well! Looking forward to more variations in the future.

Developer

Thank you!  I'm surprised how many people like the simple aesthetic.

The controls are so unique and fun!! I'm following you because I really want to see if you extend this with enemies and bosses! Great work!

Developer

Thanks!  We'll see how much traction this gets and I might add it a lot more stuff in a post-jam version.

Submitted

Cool idea! I could see it being expanded with bosses and such. Nice work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks!  I wanted to add a boss fight once the times runs out, but I didn’t have the time.  I would love to add that in a post-jam version.

Really fun and great idea!!

Really fun game to play, I tried it again to do better than the first time ! The way the camera has inertia felt wierd at the beginning but I understand why you did it, when used to it, it feels way more smooth and add a small complexity to the gameplay really enjoyable ! Great idea:-D

Developer

Thank you!  I'm glad the camera's inertia had a positive impact on the game for you.
