Fun cocept and a pretty cute game! My first strategy to build all pumps close together did feel a bit cheesy, but the game was fun especially when playing more properly.
a cool multi tasking game! maybe be a little more forgiving at the start :)
Fun idea! Seems like the balance is pretty hard right now? Maybe we’re just bad at the game, though.
Props to you for releasing your first game in such a small time window! Definitely a lot better than my first attempts at making games were.
Hey, thanks! To be honest, the balance was definitely not that well planned out. I spent too much time on figuring out how to make the game work, that by the time I had to add the main... villain? hero? the blue guy! I had barely a few hours until I could no longer develop the game. You can see this by the fact he has a hand reached out for a gun but I didn't manage to add the weapon mechanic. If I ever come back to the idea (and I wanted to make something like this for a while so I probably will), I will definitely take more time to flesh out the interactions to be more balanced. Once again, thanks for playing!
A very cute game, with a nice charm. The sprite work was clean and easily understood.
Good job!
so funny pointing to the exit)
Haha yes, I was running out of time (didn't have full 48 hours), so figured this would be easier to add than a whole end screen. Thanks for playing!
The poor goobers, they just want a drink! The game has some solid mechanics but it quickly devolves into a dominant strategy where you plant all your factories close together and just spawn goobers to chase the hero away. If you plan to expand on this or for future designs try adding a mechanic to restrict the number of possible locations where factories can be planted (ie near an oasis or pools of water) to give the players more interesting decisions to make. Overall its a neat game, good job!
Thanks for playing! Yes, the gameplay is definitely prone to cheesy strategies (I found myself placing factories as far apart as possible during playtesting to have time before I need to place new ones). Didn't think about restricting where you could put them, that's a nice suggestion.
Idea is great art style is also really nice. I would also add a score which might get the player to play more.
Much more impressive than my first game was, congrats!
I don't really understand whats happening.
Solid game! It's pretty easy but it's also kinda relaxing seeing the green goobers destroy the hero XD
